2012 Summer Olympics: Men’s Basketball Team Dumps Lamar Odom

HollywoodLife.com told you FIRST that Lamar would be sitting out during the London games — now it’s official!

The 2012 U.S. Olympic Men’s Basketball Team roster has been revealed, and as HollywoodLife.com told you FIRST, Lamar Odom is nowhere to be found!

Instead, the team announced on July 7 that it will include superstars like LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, Blake Griffin, Chris Paul, Chris Bosh, Tyson Chandler, Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant, Rudy Gay, Eric Gordon, James Harden, Andre Iguodala, Kevin Love, Russell Westbrook and Deron Williams.

Lamar, 32, is focusing his energy on returning to the Los Angeles Clippers, a source close to the situation told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.

“He will not be on the [Olympic] team, as he is focusing all of his resources on returning to NBA shape and the Clippers,” our source says. “He is all about the NBA and refreshing his game and will not be on the Olympic team. So the Kardashian Olympics is a no-go.”

He withdrew himself. No reason was given in the article I read but probably so he could be in shape to be on “Keeping Up With The Kardashians.”

Even if he didnt withdraw he still wouldn’t of made the team. Everyone on the team is SUPERSTAR. Lamar odom is not. & Lamar odom wasnt going to make it over kevin love. Anyway.

I read Lamar withdrew his name for consideration because he was not in shape and wanted to focus all his attention on being in top form for the upcoming season with the Clippers……yea right..

IMO let the men who acted and played like professionals all season be the ones chosen to play on the Olympic Team. They are the ones who deserve it.

Second, he was never seriously considered for the team
Third, this has just been another HollywoodLife made up story.

Ummm, you guys need to hire someone who has some about basketball. Team USA released a press report that Lamar’s agent called and withdrew his name last Monday. He was no longer in consideration. So you guys FAIL!
