[INTERVIEW] Rihanna: How Dating Chris Brown Damaged Her For Life

Poor Rihanna! Chris didn’t just damage her physically — He also left some serious emotional scars.

Don’t expect to see Rihanna in a serious relationship anytime soon. The Barbadian beauty says an old relationship — obviously referring to her romance with Chris Brown — left her unwilling to open herself up to love. ”When I was in love, I fell so hard … and in the blink of an eye, my whole life changed,” she tells Harper’s Bazaar. “I never thought I’d feel that pain in my life. I’m afraid of feeling that again.”

Poor Rihanna! She may look gorgeous and strong on the outside, but she’s still dealing with serious emotional trauma. (In case you need a refresher, Chris savagely beat then-girlfriend Rihanna in Feb. 2009.)

“I have been conservative in my love life,” she continues. “It’s pretty much nonexistent. If I come across someone who I find really cool, I’ll hang out. But the minute I find that we’re getting too close I just — I don’t let people in.”

Rihanna isn’t just afraid to love again because of Chris, she’s probably afraid to love Chris again because he beat her!!
