Katie Holmes Has Wanted To Divorce Tom Cruise For Two Years

Katie Holmes’ secret plan to leave Tom Cruise dates back to more than a year ago, HollywoodLife.com has learned EXCLUSIVELY.

“Katie has been wanting to get out of her marriage with Tom for almost two years,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com.

Katie, 33, reportedly asked her parents Martin and Kathleen Holmes for help after she tried talking to Tom, 50, about her concerns with Scientology.

“She tried to talk to Tom about her concerns and he just wouldn’t listen,” our source says. “She started sharing with her parents how controlling and weird Scientology is, and her dad decided he was going to help her.”

Martin has reportedly been very involved in Katie’s plan to leave Tom. We hope this all gets settled keeping in mind Suri’s best interest.

Katie is a gold digger, that’s why she married Tom to begin with, during their marriage she spends millions, and millions for clothing, did she do any other things than, shopping????? She knew from the start, that she is in only for the money.
Woman like her, deserve no sympathy, why for what reason???

I feel that this divorce has already been planned and settled. I think that Tom and Katie are using the divorce as a way to garner some publicity for themselves. Tom did not become so rich and famous, not to mention a leader in his cult, by being ignorant. He would have known every little step she took, especially if he was as controlling as they say he was. Look at the headlines, Katie has been planning this for 2 years, Tom is so lonely for his 50th birthday, Katie is out and about with Suri, etc. It seems as if the media is trying to gain some sympathy for him. It just seems as though this was planned in a way as to get the most positively sympathetic publicity for Tom. It benefits him to have it seem as though he is surprised by the divorce, when in fact, imo, it has been staged by him from the beginning. It just feels so fake to me. Who better to stage a divorce for publicity than 2 actors. His last movie was not successful (Rock of Ages or whatever it is called), however, with all the sympathy he will gain because of the “unexpected” divorce, his next movie is sure to be a hit.

I had a suspicion from when the news first emerged about Katie Holmes filing for divorce from Tom Cruise. I think it is not impossible that Cruise was in on the plan for divorce and knew that for him to file first, as he did in his divorce from Nicole Kidman, would paint him in a very bad light. More probable, was that he was in on the plan for Katie to file first, to paint an image of him that would garner sympathy from the public, and that in truth, he wanted the divorce as much as she did. I don’t think he was “blindsided” at all. I was relieved when I read the post by jmc that someone else got the same impression that I did, that the whole thing was carefully effectively scripted.

He was a scientologist when she married him, when she had his baby, and now if we are to believe all these media stories, she is using Scientology to keep him from his child. We don’t know what went on in that relationship. We only hear rumors, let it go through the courts.

you are correct, but i’d like to point out that katie was bowled over by tom’s charm. if you’ve ever been in love, maybe you can remember how blind it’ll make you. also, katie has an open heart. she probably wanted to give scientology a chance b/c of her love for tom, and b/c people just don’t believe how insidious it can be. not to mention, if you’re a mom, you’ll know that when a kid is thrown in the mix- things change in a hurry. things we’d put up with for ourselves (some bossing around by a know-it-all) suddenly looks different when our children are of an age to comprehend it. (i experienced a similar thing when dealing with an alcoholic mate. i was used to it from growing up with an alcoholic parent, but once i had a child- i saw the world differently. i didn’t want my child to live with what i had accepted.)

well, it wouldn’t be very wise to walk out on tom cruise with his child without thinking long and hard about it, and without a plan. i doubt she has been CERTAIN about leaving for 2 years, but i’m sure she’s had doubts that long. the more i hear about it, the more i am disgusted over tom’s people pretending he was blindsided. first off, if you’re blindsided you don’t have the rationality to just sit there and take it. you’d go and try to fix things or at least see your daughter, regardless of how rational it was. this is all part of the spin. and he probably made the conscious decision that he was not going to be the one filing for his third divorce b/c that would make him look bad. he had to make her do it. if it were irretrievably broken per katie 6 months ago, and they had moved out of sharing a bedroom- and she had gotten a new apartment- c’mon. he knew.

Waiting two years made sense for Katie. I would do the same thing. Tom’s career was in the crapper two years ago. But now that he’s back on top, she can get a better financial deal. It’s dollars and cents baby! Yo! I did a similar thing with my own ex and made out like a bandit. Ghost Protocol made $700 million world wide. Show me the money! I love you Katie!!

is it mere coincidence that you’re posting another comment suggesting she is doing things just b/c of a financial motivation? are you a scientologist or on the cruise payroll, or just a ghetto idiot? nobody in their right mind believes katie is doing this for the money. if all she cared about was the money, she’d stay with him! i always think people are crazy when they act like the kardashians and people like that are posting on sites like this- as if they could care or have the time. but, on this one, i could see the cruise pr machine paying people like you to post this ridiculous stuff. if you’re a woman, you should be ashamed. women always get the “just for the money” thing thrown in their face, and it’s tiring. you shouldn’t be peddling such garbage.
