Tom – isn’t being in your daughter’s life as a devoted father figure more important to you than your devotion to Scientology?
Tom Cruise – do you love Scientology more than your 6-year-old daughter Suri? That is the question you may be forced to decide in your increasingly bitter divorce and custody battle with estranged wife Katie Holmes.
Katie has filed to get sole custody of Suri in NYC and if many reports are to be believed she is determined to keep Suri out of Scientology school, where she would be indoctrinated into your religion.
She reportedly feels so strongly about this, that she filed to divorce you. And she’s been playing hardball with you by blindsiding you with divorce papers and then filing an “emergent application” to have both of you appear before a matrimonial judge in NYC on July 17 to rule on child custody and support issues.
You, of course, are shocked, hurt and furious.
You have been in control of your relationship with Katie since the moment you began to woo her in April 2005. And up until now, you no doubt planned to raise Suri as a Scientologist just like your two older children, Isabella, 19, and Connor, 17.
But now Katie has drawn a line in the sand and she may already have the legal upper hand since she filed for custody first in New York – a state which more frequently awards sole custody to one parent, than does California.
So even if you file for joint custody or sole custody in California – you may not win. For all your A-list movie star stature and multi-millions, you may not be able to control what the judge rules in this case.
You may have to compromise on Suri’s Scientology education in order to obtain joint custody of your daughter. That very well may be Katie’s uncompromising demand and the judge may side with her.In other words – you may have to agree NOT to raise her as a Scientologist in order tohave a closer relationship with your daughter.
Would you do that? Could you do that?
Would you allow Suri NOT to be raised as a Scientologist if it meant you could end up with joint custody? Or that Katie would agree to move back to California so Suri was closer?
Tom – this is a decision you may be forced to make. You may very well have to decide which you love more? Which are you committed to more? Suri or Scientology?
I sure hope it’s Suri! What do you think Hollywoodlifers? Which do you think Tom would choose if he was forced to make that choice? Tell me now.

He isn’t alone now! Both of his older kids moved in with HIM along time ago! Their preference! And he himself says that it would be great if his own sisters all lived in their house too, they are all so close! Tom is not lonely, not bitter, is considered the go to nice guy in Hollywood, good heaven’s, what a stupid remark! If anything? It will be the other way around! It was Nicole who was said and lonely for so long, not Tom! She missed him so much and couldn’t move on because she said, he treated her so special all the time! He is the nice guy in this, she knew what he was when she married him, took advantage until she got bored with shopping and he got older, what was she thinking was going to happen? and then restarted her life at his expense. She is a 3rd rate actress with a career that was and is going nowhere! Please! Give your head’s shake!

His first wife Mimi, she introduced HIM to scientology, HE divorced Nicole, not the other way around and it took her years to move on because no one had ever treated her so well, and Katie knew what he was when she married him! She is the one who took advantage, spent all of his money, saw the world, a 3rd rate actress with no career approaching 30, hm… who got ripped off here? She lived off of Daddy’s money before Tom’s! He has the two older children who wanted to live with Dad, Suri will want to as well, he’s a neat guy who does fun stuff! What do you think kids want?

Katie, should have never gotten mix up with this vertically challenged cult lover, let alone married him. I would imagine she was also tired of having to stoop over at every publicity shoot. You know one can become a hump back by stooping over for five to six years. Like Kidman said when she got away from Little Man, It never felt so good to be able to wear high heels after ten years in flats!

You mentioned something about If Katie Holmes agreed to move back to CCalifornia would Tom Agree…… if Katie Holmes moves back to California she can not use our New York courts to obtain a divorce. In order to divorce in Ny you must be planning on living here after the
Divorce and your child must be enrolled in a NY School among other
Laws. I don’t know that Katie Holmes can use our courts
To obtain her divorce unless the judge considers her profession as
An actress will not allow for her to reside in one place.
Does anyone know more?

That is absolutely not true. I have a child in NY and have gone through Family Court here. If the court determines that NY is Ms. Holmes’ state of residence she can go through the NY court system to obtain her divorce, and Mr. Cruise cannot force her to move back to California for whatever visitation he is granted. If the court determines that California is their state of residence, ms. Holmes will have to move back and would need the consent of Mr. Cruise and the court to leave the state permanently, unless Mr. Cruise’s visitation was limited to specific weeks out of the year or particular holidays, in which case it would not matter where the child resided full time. As long as both parties agree, the custodial parent can live anywhere they wish too. Only in cases of joint custody is a parent restricted from moving at will.

This joker has NO choice – he’s balls deep into the CO$ and there is no escape for him, ever. They’ve got ALL kinds of dirt on him and he knows they’ll screw him over in a heartbeat if he ever tries to defect. Doesn’t matter how he feels or what he wants – he’ll be a cult puppet until the day he dies.

Tom will choose Scientology because there, he is “big man on campus.” But what he fails to recognize or admit is the ONLY reason he is big man there is because he donates the most money! Let him lose all of his cash or stop giving to that cult…they would toss him out like a piece of trash and forget his name. A “church” doesn’t encourage you to brain wash your children against their mother like he did with Nicole Kidman. Those kids stopped calling her mom and referred to her as Nicole. That’s wrong on so many levels, but he not only demanded and encouraged it, they were rewarded because of it. Same will happen with Suri if Katie doesn’t fight like a wicked witch for her daughter against the very short Tom Cruise. Go get yourself some 6 inch stilettos now Katie, you don’t have to worry about him being a little man anymore!

I agree with everything you have said, but the part about them throwing him out, if he lost his money, I’m thinking they’d make him a dish washer. After all, he being vertically challenged would place him at the right hight to stand at a kitchen sink, he wouldn’t even have to bend over the sink.

I don’t know who you are shell-belle but you are correct. I know personally, those kids called Katie mom, which was weird when she was only 15 years older than Isabella at the time. Nicole was totally locked out because she did not stay in scientology and it will be interesting to see what happens now with Suri.

The *Cult* word gets overused, but in some cases it is appropriate.
The definition of a destructive religious cult is like alcoholism-if booze controls you instead of the other way around you are an alcoholic.
I was in the Watchtower society Jehovah’s Witnesses, they are not benevolent and won’t let you leave their organization in peace. The Jehovahs are not without scandals-child abuse, sadistic mind control tactics, sex scandals, money scams, general bad behavior — you know, religion.
Is it a cult?
If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it’s probably a duck….

oh bonnie bonnie bonnie. I feel sorry for you. no court can infringe on one’s freedom of religion. If any judge rules on such basis tom will have quadruple his earnings.
The lawsuit would be much. And yes he will have joint custody.
Because the case will be used as reference for future cases involving CUSTODY and RELIGION. And in the USA thats a big big deal which can cause a civil war.

This isn’t about religion and even if it was it still doesn’t mean joint custody is a given. This is about what’s best for Suri. Currently Tom Cruise’s best friend and confidant is the leader of Scientology, David Miscavige. Miscavige has been accused by many scientologists as being physically abusive to many members. They’ve all gone on record stating as such. This guy is straight up delusional. His wife hasn’t been seen since 2007 and he’s notorious for sending insubordinant members to the “Hole” where they sleep on the floor for sometimes years at a time. He’s a lunatic! This idiot is Tom Cruise’s best friend!!!! This is a huge problem. This is not about religion it’s about the mental safety of Suri. No one would want their daughter around David Miscavige. Not ever!!! Tom Cruise reminds of the Penn State Administrators during the Jerry Sandusky trial. Instead of thinking of the boys they covered for Jerry to save Penn State’s reputation. Tom is not seeing who his best friend truly is because he’s choosing Scientology over the abuses adminstered to members and children by Miscavige. Tom is mislead, prideful, and dead wrong. Now, his family is paying a high price.

As much as I hate to think this, I believe Tom Cruise will continue to believe that with all his clout in Hollywood and his millions he will be able to out finance Katie and her family on this battle with Scientology and Suri’s indoctrination. I would think that if he were to float more on the side of Scientology that it will end of destroying his career. After all, look at the damage he brought about to his career and reputation since he became involved with Katie Holmes. That relationship has been doomed from the start and it had created a window for the public to see how different he is from the average male. I hope he takes a step back and if he truly loves his precious daughter he will let Katie raise her to be as normal a child as is possible. I wish everyone involved peace of mind and a happy life.

It’s all about winning for a dominant narcissist.Scientology plays to his Napoleon complex and manipulates him by enabling his delusions. In return they hang on to his fame and wealth. I recall Holmes stating that Nicole’s children called her “mom ” meanwile they adressed Nicole by her first name. Now the shoe is on the other foot. Now we know why Nicole would not say anything. She is a smart lady. But she loved Isabella and her son,and it caused her distress ,that was obvious. I always notice the absence of Isabella and the clothes she wears, next to Suris designer wardrobe that is estimated to run into the 100,000 + a little unsettling. You see the son in black tie and Suri late into the night instead his older daughter by his side. It’s incomprehensible but transparent.

Scientology is a cult as well as bunch of similar ideas, as the Americans like to call them religions that were emerged during the last century, whose founders were wealthy and influental Americans who have brain washed unstable people with certain psychological problems. It is very sad to read newspaper headlines (more and more every day) because it turns out that the a great majority of evil actions came directly from cults. Congratulations to democracy and fights against discrimination and human rights, but in termes that have a limit, because not everything is normal and shouldn’t be legalized “in order to protect human rights” because most of cases like this caused more pain and suffer to people than made good. Society nowdays has more crazy and extreme people than before, and laws alow them to do what they want and spoil already largely broken society.
Law should prohibit these and other similar cults and their followers definitely put to psychiatric treatment, and if they have children, take poor children far away from this lunatics before the harm them (mentally and physically).
I hope that Katie will get full custody and save her child from bunch of madman including Tom!

Tom will choose Scientology over Suri and when he is an old old man near the end he will learn the meaning of life and have HUGE regrets and die and extremely lonely and bitter man…. Life is about your children your grandchildren and your family… The mans a FOOL we used to have them at court to entertain the king doesn’t look like much has changed.
