'Teen Mom' Maci Bookout Caught Drinking Underage — New Report

Maci was reportedly partying hard for the Fourth of July. Too bad she’s not 21 yet!

Another day, another Teen Mom star in trouble. This time, we’re hearing that Maci Bookout, 20, was spotted getting her drink on July 3 at an Independence Day party in Cattanooga, Tenn., hosted by her aunt. “I saw her drink a lot,” one partygoer tells RadarOnline.com. “She had at least six beers and she was at the party for four or five hours.”

But wait, it gets worse. According to the source, when Maci was asked why she was drinking, she allegedly giggled and pointed out that she’s “almost 21.” In her defense, that statement is true — she’ll be turning the big 2-1 on Aug. 10.

As for little Bentley, the same partygoer says Maci’s son was being taken care of by her parents all night.

“The more she drank, the less she paid attention to her son,” according to the source.

Fortunately, the source adds, Maci did not drive herself home that night. So there’s one good thing!

What is it with these Teen Mom girls? They just don’t seem to have their acts together!

omg it was a family thing, she had 5 beers in a span of like 5 hours wow one an hour thats costing if u ask me, this article honestly is just a bunch of drummed up crap no one cares about let the girl be and move on. btw im canadian/german, drinking runs through my families tree, im 25 and dont see harm in someone who is less then a few weeks away from being legal to drink, not enjoy her families affairs, stop twisting everything around, you sad sad journalist…

Okay she was drinking but she was at a family party yet her parents were with her. so why r ppl gonna bang on her b cause she was drinking. okay bentley may have been there too but how do u know if maci’s parents didn’t tell her to go and have a few beers and they will take care of bentley. my parents use to do that to me and my boyfriend and my daughter was there. so i guess that makes me a bad mom ppl are always looking for some trouble to start

ok… really????????? i know Ryan is a year or two older than her, but his lil girlfriend cannot be! and on the episode of “teen mom” when they all went to florida it showed them in their hotel room in the morning or early afternoon and ryan was clearly drinking a beer and had not been up long BEFORE taking Bentley to the beach with his family. i am in no was critizing Ryan for this just making a point here. it was ok for him to do this but macy can have a few beers while with her family for a holiday gathering?????? give me a break!!!!! and this source says she wasnt paying attention to Bentley but i find that VERY hard to believe. she may have been drinking but i dont ever see her ignoring him! lmao

bentley was being taken care of while she had one night of drinking with family? not that big of a deal.. just because she didnt “pay attention” to bentley doesnt mean that she hates him and neglects him every night… seriously they took the time to write an article on this? she loves bentley clearly and so far she is one of the best mothers on teen mom.

You Americans have it all wrong. The legal age where I live is 18. It usually means by the time you’re finished University/College you’ve smartened up a little while still having your fun.

Maci is a responsible parent. Leave her alone.

i agree with u 100% but what with you americans where r u from that ur aloud to drink at the age of 18. i know of a few places but her in the united states the legal age is 21 we didn’t make that rule. maci is a great mom and she is the best mom off of both teen mom and teen mom2. and she was at a family party ppl just look for stuff trying to cause some trouble. won’t b surprise if ryan didn’t send them. don’t like him or his new chick

There are lots and lots of photos posted on the internet that show Maci with drinks in hand and in various stages of intoxication. I am amazed that she makes money by going to high schools and lecturing children on how to properly conduct themselves. How could any school even think of using this girl as a role model for students?
I drank on occasion when I was underage, but I was not on the high school lecture circuit, posing as a role model.

Also- although my family are not by any means teetotalers, I never got drunk at a family member as a minor. What kind of trash family does this girl come from?

OMG like no one at 20 drinks at a private party for a holiday. Bentley was being watched by his grandparents. Don’t judge until you have been there. I am 37 years old and my husband and I have two beatiful girls. We go out once every two months for a few house. We all drank before we were 21 so people need to stop. No one is ever on Ryan about his partying ways and girls in and out of his house. Macy raised Bentley from the start, Ryan didn’t do anything if he didn’t want to but work on his stupid cars.

You are joking right? She maybe a mother, but she is still young. theres nothing that says that you can’t be a good mother and still go out drinking and have fun. It was a family party. It’s not like she left him with complete strangers to go out drinking. she is actually being a ersponsible parent. She’s only a month away from being 21 and lets be honest, most have drunk before the legal age limit anyway. It’s not nice to wish someone child away without proper cause. It’s not like she’s a bad parent. she’s not hurting him in anyway. This is not a reason for her son to be taken away from her.

Oh please who waits! So what if she isn’t 21. The legal drinking age in England is 18, and no one sticks to that rule. And i’m sure that the 21 age limit in America isn’t kept to either! And its not like she’s 15 and drinking (though most do start at that age!) People need to realise that these girls, although mothers, do need to be able to let their hair down every once in a while. At least she left her son with her parents which was a responsible decision, and it wasn’t like she was leaving him with friends who were drinking as well Leaving her son to his own devices. No one gets drunk on 6 beers. It was a family event. Let the girl have some fun!

This story is so stupid. I’ve NEVER met anyone who actually waited until their 21st birthday to drink. If she was sixteen, I’d understand this story existing, but since her 21st is only a month away it’s just dumb. No, having a baby doesn’t make drinking okay, but she was at a family party where both she and Bentley were obviously safe. The drinking age for my family parties is 18, set by my family. Some people are ridiculous.

Please. She’s had a baby, I’m pretty sure she can drink. Besides, it’s legal to drink if your parent is around (in my state at least). Not a big deal. 6 beers over 6 hours, not a big deal either. Her child was being supervised. She doesnt’ have to watch him every minute of every day, that’s what grandparents are for, they WANT to do it! She gets the least help of all the teen moms. This isn’t even news.
