Katie Holmes broke her silence on her divorce from Tom Cruise while shopping at Whole Foods with her daughter Suri on July 4!
Katie’s parents, Martin and Kathleen Holmes, joined her and Suri, 6, in her new 3-bedroom apartment in Manhattan on July 4 to help celebrate the patriotic holiday!
Martin was spotted carrying in a cake, with forks, knives and napkins! When asked how the family was doing, Martin said, “We’re fine, thank you.”
Katie, 33, reportedly echoed those sentiments when she stopped by Whole Foods on July 4 for hamburger meat, buns, strawberries and bananas! According to New York’s Daily News, Katie told a reporter, “I’m all right,” while pushing Suri in a shopping car. “Thank you.”
On Tuesday July 3, Katie took Suri for a treat at Sundaes and Cones in New York’s East Village! ”Katie looked happy and was friendly to the customers and staff while Suri sat on her mom’s lap,” an eyewitness said!
While Katie seems to be enjoying herself, Tom reportedly rang in his 50th birthday on Tuesday with his teenage children, Connor, 17, and Bella, 19 in Los Angeles — all the while brokenhearted!
