David and Elana Barnes let their 5-year-old daughter go swimming with SHARKS — and she wasn’t even protected by a cage! Did these parents put their daughter at risk? Read on for more outrageous details!

David and Elana Barnes sparked outrage on YouTube after posting a video of their five-year-old daughter, Anaia, swimming with sharks in the Bahamas.

“We swam with Reef, Lemon, and Nurse sharks, all very low on the aggression index, yet still very thrilling! Put it on your bucket list!” Elana posted with the video on YouTube.

However the video is more than just thrilling — it’s jaw-dropping.

A sea of sharks swim around a man who feeds them for the first five minutes. The sharks are relatively small, but clearly aggressive when you see them attacking their food. Then the parents — and their daughter — go snorkeling with the sharks!

This video has understandably sparked quite the controversy, but after being accused of irresponsible parenting, the Connecticut family defended their decision on Good Morning America.

“At no point did I feel like this is dangerous,” Elana says. “It’s like a roller coaster… life is too short to be boring.”

Yikes! What do you think, Hollymoms? Would YOU let your five-year-old daughter swim with sharks? Weigh in, watch the videos and vote below.
