Like any other single gal, Jennifer Aniston assumed that her romantic two-week European vacation with boyfriend Justin Theroux would end in a proposal. After nights of quiet dinners and moonlit strolls, Justin finally popped the question – but shockingly, Jen said no!
“She feels like she only got the proposal because she pushed for it,” an insider told OK! “She doesn’t want a guy marrying her because he feels some sort of pressure.”

As the two dined on June 13 at Paris’ famed Le Jules Verne restaurant, set high atop the Eiffel Tower, Jen, 43, eagerly waited for Justin, 40, to get down on bended knee. “When it didn’t happen Jen got upset, so they started bickering,” explained the insider.

Despite her disappointment, Jen tried to remain quiet in Paris, but ended up blowing up at Justin during the last night of their stay. “They fought about his commitment issues and she brought up a bunch of stuff,” revealed the insider. “He got defensive and stormed out, it was a big mess. They made up a few hours later, but it still ruined the mood of everything.”

Embarrassed by her outburst, Jen backed off of talking about marriage and focused on enjoying the next leg of their trip in Rome. While the two took a private tour of the Vatican, Justin realized that he’d made a mistake by not knowing that Jen was expecting a proposal. Hours later, “Justin totally shocked her and proposed,” said the insider.

Although touched by the gesture, Jen said no. “She told him she loves him and wants to marry him, but she couldn’t say yes,” explained the insider. “She wants everything to feel right, not rushed. She told him she feels like he’s not ready, but she is willing to wait for him.”

I like Jennifer Aniston so much. I hope she’s really in love with him and that’s she’s not with him because she’s 43 or something. I always thought she was someone who was going to stay on her own, not because she’s not pretty or sweet or really really really beautiful, because she is actually! But i thought she was someone who wanted to stay on her own feet though because she wants to do things in her own way, which i adore. Well, i hope she will make a lot of movies and that she’s happy.

Oh, by the way, i don’t think she made a mistake, because why can’t they be just lovers while they’re not married? I think it’s ok?

I hear you…been there…I made my love propose 3 different ways..the bottom line is….you GET MARRIED…who cares how he proposes..it will never be the right moment or the exact way you want him to propose to you….grab him & get married before he gets away….the sooner the better. It was just the two of us when I got married…that is all you need…party afterwards….it was VERY ROMANTIC!!!!!!

Jennifer it doesn’t matter if someone would kneel to propose to you or not. If Justin just propose whatever it is just say yes and be happy. Thats what I would feel.

I think it’s all a publicity stunt to keep Aniston’s name front & center in the press for good OR bad. She needs all the help she can get since Brad left her–I NEVER thought she was ‘all that’. They said she had that ‘girl next door’ look–whatever! Jennifer, just try to stay out of the press & paparazzi’s view, and let happiness ‘happen’–quit trying to “keep up with ‘Mr & Mrs. Smith’, I mean ‘The Jone’s'!”

NO, I think YOU are the crazy one for re-printing this bullish–. You people need to get a life.

HL why do you buy this obvious BS? Jen has said she doesn’t know if she will marry again, and she certainly doesn’t sound concerned about marriage at all. And as if she would want or expect a proposal in a public place like a restaurant atop the Eiffel Tower! She and Justin looked more in love leaving that dinner then they did even on the way in, and they looked equally as in love the next day when they left Paris, and on the rest of their trip.

Before they went on the trip OK was claiming they were about to split, then when they were proven so spectacularly wrong they changed their tune and tried to claim they were fighting over her ex husband in Paris. Now they’re running this crap story about an engagement. All of this tells us that they have no clue whatsoever as to what is going on in Jen and Justin’s relationship. Like Yeah, Right below, I wouldn’t be surprised if they aren’t already engaged or married…they’ve been wearing matching rings on their “wedding” fingers since last June, and they have a house and puppy together…they’re obviously committed.

This NEVER happened. OK is the same magazine that portrayed their European vacation in a completely different way just one week ago. I doubt Aniston would even want a proposal in a public restaurant full of other people. Given that she’s been sporting what looks like an engagement ring on her right hand for at least six months now I think they may have already figured the marriage thing out. Or maybe it’s a commitment ring, who knows? What I do know is that these tabloids are NOT privy to their private conversations and both Jen and Justin looked amazingly happy when they left that French restaurant.
