Plus, Allison uncovers a major twist that could lead to the end of the Kanima — and Jackson!
The July 2 episode of Teen Wolf picked up right where last week’s game-changer left off, with a pissed-off Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) chasing after Jackson (Colton Haynes) in all his Kanima glory. And, naturally, their game of cat-and-mouse ended at the one place you’d expect a shape-shifting reptile to hide from his hairy pursuers: A gay club!
After a whole lot of bumping and grinding — including some super-awkward shots of Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) lost in a sea of men that I really hope become gifs tomorrow — Scott (Tyler Posey) managed to subdue a cold, confused, naked Jackson… which actually sounds like a pretty standard night out at the clubs to me. It should also be noted that Stiles helped him put his pants back on, “one leg at a time.”
While we’re talking about the club scene: Am I the only person confused by Danny’s (Keahu Kahuanui) whole existence? Are these kids really friends with him, because other than a few words exchanged in the locker room and science class, they don’t really seem all that close. I’d like to see Danny really develop a story line of his own, because right now, he feels out of place. He basically just appears when needed, but could just as easily be replaced by a Danny-shaped robot.
But I digress…
Lydia (Holland Roden) also had a close encounter of the bizarre kind when that handsome stranger returned to spit some awkward game in her backyard. He gave her a flower, and told her that if she didn’t still have it at school the next day, he’d be “really hurt.” He’s cute, but as all Teen Wolf fans know, there’s a very thin line between cute and crazy.
And here’s another thing all good Teen Wolf fans know: The big surprises are saved for the very end! Thanks to Lydia and her random ability to translate Archaic Latin — seriously, is that a required course for these kids? — Allison (Crystal Reed) discovered that the Kanima isn’t seeking a “friend,” as they previously thought. It’s seeking a master. That means someone is controlling Jackson!
Who do YOU think is controlling Jackson? And what the heck is up with Lydia’s sketchy new suitor? Drop a comment with your thoughts and theories from this week’s episode!

Regardless of who is controlling the Kanima, there can’t possibly be two Kaminas as everyone is suggesting and if there is then the only other person it could be is Gerard and he is using the pills to suppress his transformation. And if you think about it there can’t be two Kamina’s as the 2nd Kanima would also have to have a master and it would be a big, stupid endless loop and if you also listen to what the characters say, they say that Kanima’s are sent to kill murderers, and after a while they can freely kill and also they are not in control of their transformations on full moons the same as werewolves as the Kanima is a form of werewolf and only Jackson is going around killing people and the whole purpose of a Kanima is to kill people so if there’s only one killing people, there can’t possibly be a 2nd(unless for Gerard).
