Katie Holmes filed for divorce from Tom Cruise on June 28 in New York City. And in an intimate interview with the June 2012 issue of Playboy magazine, Tom reveals his deep feeling for Katie — leaving us to believe that Tom’s heart has been seriously broken!
In the interview, Tom said of Katie, “She is an extraordinary person, and if you spent five minutes with her, you’d see it. Everything she does, she does with this beautiful creativity. When she becomes interested in something, she doesn’t talk about it, she does it.”
Tom continued gushing about his now former wife, “One week I said to her, ‘You’ve been up in the middle of the night. Is everything okay?’ She smiled and then threw this thing on my desk and said, ‘I wrote this script.’ She wanted to try it, and she did. She wanted to try designing clothes, and now her line is wonderful and, to me, an example of how she just creates beautiful things in her life.”
Tom clearly talks about Katie in such a high regard! It seems clear that Tom’s heart has truly been broken by Katie filing for divorce! This interview was printed in June, a mere weeks before Katie filed in New York City! We can’t imagine how Tom felt when he was “blindsided” by the divorce!

Too bad Tom didn’t pick up on the fact that Katie’s pent-up creativity was making her feel cramped in the marriage. If my spouse had been up in the middle of the night and then “threw this thing on the bed,” which turned out to be a script, I’d get the message loud and clear. Time for Katie to do her own thing, WITHOUT the long arm of Scientology gripped around her waist.
