Katy Perry Inspires Women Everywhere With Her Emotional Breakdown In 'Part Of Me'

HollywoodLife.com got the chance to go to a special screening of Katy’s new 3D flick and we watched Katy get so upset over her troubles with Russell Brand, that she almost couldn’t perform for her thousands of fans.

Katy Perry is such a strong woman. HollywoodLife.com was absolutely blown away with Katy’s honesty in her new 3D documentary Part of Me that hits theaters July 5. We knew that Katy would feature her crumbling relationship with Russell Brand but we didn’t realize that she would be so open with her fans of all ages. This movie will have you falling in love with Katy all over again — read on to find out why.

Katy is no over night success. She worked her entire life to get to where she is. In the documentary you see clips from Katy’s childhood and you follow her constant rejection in the music industry. But Katy was absolutely determined for her voice to be heard and finally she got the recognition she deserved. This isn’t some sugar coated flick that portrays everything as bubble gum and lollipops. There were real sweat, tears and all nighters for Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson to become the first artist besides Michael Jackson to have five number one singles from an album.

But I’ll tell you one thing, this gorgeous girl deserved a strong man to stand behind her. In the movie you see Katy performing at concerts all over the world and then on her much needed days off, she’d rush to be by Russell’s side. Why wasn’t he visiting her? She’s the one on an international tour! Katy was exhausted but she made time for her marriage.

This movie shows girls everywhere the cliche saying that money can’t buy happiness. You have to find it within because no one will bring you pure happiness except yourself. It also teaches everyone an important lesson, that sometimes no matter how hard you work at something, it still falls apart. It’s truly dumbfounding to try and figure out what Katy saw in Russell but only she knows.

The movie is done in a tasteful way with just enough to let her loyal fans into a private part of her life. You’ll be singing along to all her hits, in awe of her determination, laughing at her jokes, and crying along with her when she’s sad.

You’ve got to check out the summer’s best movie when it hits theaters July 5.

Okay. It’s sad when any relationship breaks up. However, I am not proud of Katy Perry. She strikes me as an opportunist who has turned her broken relationship to Brand into a PR move. I am sure that there were times when she was “crappy” to him. We all do stupid, selfish stuff when we are angry at someone. He’s not airing any of it. , Brand never responds negatively or with crocodile tears when he is questioned about Perry. He simply smiles, says he loves her as a person, or says nothing. Actually, the fact that he says nothing says a lot more than her blubbering, if you know what I mean.

She wanted the Hollywood fantasy. Russell wanted a family, kids. She wanted fame, fantasy and fortune. Its kind of funny that she wants to use the “crying over russell” to get sympathy, but we have all seen her PDA pics with a new guy 3 months after her divorce.

Okay to all of you hating on Katy for no reason saying she wants the attention….. shut up. She does not want attention, she just wants to show ppl she is normal and tht she can get through lifes hard spots just like normal ppl can. She did not diss Russell in any way in her movie, she actually said she loved him but it didnt work out because he wanted to settle down and she wasnt ready, also both of their busy scheduled made it hard to be together. Oh and if you say katy did not love him because she was on rebound for one night 3 months after her divorce you are wrong. russell was seeing other ppl before their divorce was even legal and katy has just began to see john Mayer 3 weeks ago, she is testing the field and looking for love and someone who will put in the same amount of effort in the relationship as her UNLIKE Russell who wouldn’t even fly to see his exhausted wife on tour. now, i dot know exactly what happened between Russ and Katy, but i do know that Katy deserves better. Im a katycat and have been since 08 … i know who katy is inside and out and she is not a famewhore, she actualy just loves music and wants to be normal, hell she isnt even normal, she is kinda wierd. So next time before judging, learn a little about the person :)

I’m sorry but a woman who finds a new boyfriend ONLY 3 months after her divorce, is NOT an inspiration to me! Plus, in the movie we see only HER side of the story. We haven’t heard Russell’s side of the story…This movie is EDITED by Katy. SO her “truth” involves making Russell, look like the bad guy and herself as the victim!

The little immature Katy fans who commented on here and called Russell a “selfish jerk” for wanting babies with his wife, don’t know anything about life…so they should tell us again their opinion, when they will be 37 years old (Russell’s age) and their wife or husband would not want their children. If you have no idea about something, is better to keep your mouth shut. Many people suffer because of that matter.

Have you ever thought that perhaps there are two sides to every story, and maybe you don’t have the low-down on what went on?! We all know that Katy’s movie will portray the demise of her marriage as sympathetic to herself. This blatant bias towards Katy is annoying, when no one but the two of them knows what really happened.

I watched katy Perry’s concert and I think she’s good.

I read somewhere that the reason why russel divorced her is because he doesn’t want to have children.. If tjis the real reason then I would say that her husband is very selfish.

Katy. struggles and works so hard before she became succesful and now that she’s starting to be there on top, Russel wants her to have children?

She’s only 27 years old, russel should have given her a little more time to establish herself as a singer and then plan their family instead of divorcing her.

I think russel is very selfish and envious of katy’s career so he wants her to stop and have children..

I bet Katy’s close friends have been saying to themselves …. SCREW EM! Katy is better off without him and she’ll find someone better to replace him if she half tries. Katy will probably find a man with a good career going and who is secure enough with himself to let Katy be the one who gets most of the attention. She’s an international superstar. It is what it is. Not having her around very much is part of the deal when Katy is your girlfriend or wife.

It is mind boggling that Katy was flying across the world after exhausting tour dates to see Russell. She must have spent a tens of thousands trying to keep Russell happy and trying to make everything work. Russell HAD TO KNOW that Katy was going to be extremely busy once her big world tour got going Russell just sounds like one of those “high maintenance women” that can’t stand to be by themselves for very long or they start freaking out.

The above people who just commented don’t have a clue what really went on between Russell and Katy. Neither do I. But it sure looked to me like Russell is just a self centered jerk who only cares about what HE wants.

He sounds like he tried to be all controlling with Katy too. He probably thought he was intellectually superior to Katy since he is 10 years older and has read a lot of new age spiritual books and he does a lot of yoga and so forth. Russell obviously didn’t know squat about how to be a good husband and be supportive to your wife and so forth. I’m sure all Russell was concerned about was ME, ME, ME.

For someone who doesn’t have a clue as to what went on, you sure have a definite opinion that it is Russell’s fault. Don’t you see how getting only Katy’s version of the facts influences public opinion in her favor. It is totally biased as it takes two to tango. The only fact that we know for sure is that Katy used her divorce to sell music and a movie while Russell kept quiet and didn’t take any of her money in the divorce; he was entitled to $20M of it.. Russell asked to give his input in the final edit of the movie and she refused. It is all about her and about business. The enemy of truth is distortion.

Inspires women? How? Putting her career, her friends and partying ahead of a man that loved her and only wanted her to have her to have his children? I’ve been married for 32 years, and a relationship does indeed go both ways~ And…excuse me, but Russell has a career too. Why is it that she only mentions when she took time of fto see him? Totally biased article…and bull. Team Russell, who hasen’t said anything about her, isn’t making a trashy movie, or trying to sell movies, or anything else with a divorce! What an immature little girl she is…no inspiration for this woman!

You are so right. It is totally biased. She did have a strong man. He was strong enough to stop the nonesense and let her go without taking any of her money. Seems to me a lesser man would have milked her for all she’s got. She is just too immature to accept accountability.
