International Custody Battle

The bitter international custody battle over an 18-month-old Caroline continues. Chuck Peters, an Iraq veteran, has filed for divorce in Dubai and alleges his wife Stacy had an affair and fled the country to avoid jail time. Meanwhile, Stacy is filing kidnapping charges against Chuck.

Iraq war veteran Chuck Peters and his estranged wife Stacy are locked in an international custody battle over their 18-month-old daughter, Caroline.

The TODAY show reported on June 26 that Stacy of Clarksville, Tennessee had married the former army major of Fort Campbell. Chuck then took a job as a contractor for the United Arab Emirates, so the family moved to Dubai.

They later filed for divorce, with Chuck claiming Stacey had committed adultery — a serious crime in Dubai — and was abusing prescription pills.

Stacy claims Chuck was physically abusive toward her and that she was forced out of Dubai because the United Arab Emirates threatened to arrest her.

Stacy is now back in America, while Chuck has remained in Dubai with their daughter Caroline. She is currently filing kidnapping charges against Chuck, however she claims that he is not complying with court orders.
