Aimee Copeland, 24, has been fighting for her life after contracting a flesh-eating bacterial disease from a zip-lining accident in May. On June 24, for the first time in 49 days, Aimee left her hospital room and went outside in her wheelchair with the support of her mom and dad.

A new photo has surfaced of Aimee Copeland outside, “enjoying the sunshine on her face,” as her father Andy told Today.

Although Aimee has lost both hands and pieces of both legs, doctors have upgraded her condition to “good”.
