Lolo Jones Wins Hurdles

I’m so happy that Lolo Jones will be heading to the Olympics after placing third in the 100-meter hurdles at the U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials on Saturday June 23!

Lolo Jones, a form LSU track and field star, placed third in the 100-meter hurdles during the U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials on June 23 — guaranteeing her a spot in the summer Olympics!

Lolo, 29, deserves the recognition she’s receiving as she’s an amazing racer! Lolo finished the hurdles on Saturday in 12.86 seconds!

At the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Lolo, the favorite, tripped on the second-to-last hurdle and finished seventh, but managed to flash a broad smile despite her loss! That takes courage, and shows she’s a good sport!

Lolo also deserves this success because she worked her way up from nothing! Lolo attended eight schools in eight years while her single mother, Lori, often held two jobs to support her family of six! And Lolo’s father spent most of her childhood in the Air Force, but later landed himself in a state prison!

While Lolo is a favorite in track and field, I also have to applaud her for wanting to maintain her virginity until she gets married! Lolo may have had a tough upbringing, but she certainly ended up on top! I hope to see her take home the gold!

What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Are you rooting for Lolo to get a gold medal?
