Bonnie, really. You should be ashamed to reprint stories like this that you know first hand are groundless, you actually earn money off this actor and his girlfriend by giving him priority and paying off paps everyday to feed your site, and yet you reported this fallacy. Come on. At least pick a dramatic story with an ounce of truth. But I guess business at HL this summer must be slow. You’re pretty shameful and despicable for this one. Comparing premiere $$ for a movie with a $11M budget movie to a $170M budget movie is a joke. But so are you BF.

I have seen most of his films, of course Twilight to me was the best, but I also think having Kristen in the movie too helped, they just went well together, and Edward was played by Rob to the tee. I’m sure that his problem is picking the right one’s, I would think his manager should help him pick the films that would suit him well, I think he’s made some wrong choices but he’s made good ones to, I also feel like he’s holding himself back. I mean he never thought Twilight would be that big but it was, no I do not feel his career is over, I think it’s just beginning and he’ll get it right.

The only big budget movie Robert has done since Twilight was Water For Elephants and thst was a success. Other than that, all his movies have been low budget or art house movies. He isn’t even attached to a large budget movie right now. If his career is in any trouble, it’s of his own doing by continuing to choose these atsy films that he is ill suited for. It”s time he gets inviolved in a big budget movie again… something worthy of him.

i agree with the article. Robert Pattinson is just know for twilight and his “relationship” with kristen stewart. his movies don´t work as much as the studios want so… sorry Rpatzz maybe your career is in music (jajaj). maybe if you try to make films in europe you will be recognized your work. in europe the type of films rob made like more than eeuu where the box office has higher priority. take my advice is free

Names of the “insiders”? So far, there is only one supposed “insider” in the article. And as if a producer would call him “Rip-Patz”, that’s a tabloid word…

What was the menu during the interview with the ‘insider”???

Robert Pattinson made over twenty-six million dollars last year alone; that is not bad acting in my book. It has taken many actors many, many years to hit it big in Hollywood, so to speak. Give this young man a chance, he will achieve great things in his life. In my opinion, the best is yet to come for Robert Pattinson; this young man is outstanding! And Taylor Lautner is going to be the next Tom Cruise; he should only do big action films.

Rob can just choose to do small roles and live a pretty sufficient life, not that I think he ever should but actors for actors like him I would say his career would never “in peril”. Kristen pretty much can choose the same path, you know, doing small indi movies like she’s been doing before twilight. Kristen’s not really relevant to this post but I think they’re both young fine actors and actresses with bright wide-stretched careers ahead of them. How weird is it that people can ever say Rob’s acting career is in jeopardy…

I would disagree with the article. As an outsider looking at the ‘situation’ I would say that Mr Pattinson and, I guess the people that advise him, chose movies to make that he likes or are quirky much like he was doing before all the Twilight hype. There was nothing wrong with Bel Ami in my opinion but wasn’t shown a lot in theUK and probably was not the type of story line that I would think would be a big blockbuster – not enough effects, shooting, etc. Cosmopolis is not even being shown in major regional cities in the UK by the main cinema chains. I’ve been looking and would have to travel 120 miles to the nearest cinema, and 120 miles home. that’s ridiculous and no one would do that! So it will commercially flop! I’ll reserve judgement and watch the DVD

Calm down everyone. Obviously the Twilight stars can’t quite open films on their own yet (but there are few stars that can- Denzel, Depp, Smith are really the only three), Pattinson’s doing alright for himself, considering I figured he’d be typecast in the Edward role for the rest of his career. Water for Elephants, really his only other non-Twilight mainstream movie in the past couple of years besides Remember Me did solid business. Right role, right marketing= $.

To those who say that he’s failing while his co-stars are succeeding, Kristen Stewart has had 1 post-Twilight hit (Snow White) and that had little to nothing to do with her, even though she’s the star (remember Chris Hemsworth & Charlize Theron got the most promotion) and Taylor Lautner’s Abduction was a HUGE bomb.

this is a stupid, insulting article! Rob is a very good actor and I think his career will be just fine. Cosmopolis has not even been released in the US yet. It is currently in the “fresh” category on Rotten Tomatoes. Bel Ami was only released in 15 theaters in the US – how can it do well $$ here only being in 15 theaters. And you Can’t compare indie small films like Bel Ami with big budget films. Also did you forget about Water For Elephants it did quite well. Your article is crap.

Who is this insider? The source is not even close to transparent enough to matter. It’s just a quote. You need to have some leg to stand on if you’re going to make a comment of this caliber. In this case, there is none.

How dare you , writing such a smut from a London based Garbage Magazine. Is this what you want you godless PoC. How can you repeat that. And for the critics here who think that Rob will not archive a status like Gosling, you are foolish. Goslings Movie “Drive” tanked because he wanted something better, the same counts for Cosmopolis what isn’t even released yet and can only be found in 2 Theatres in Toronto. HL reached the point of the most disgusting Site out there . I hope you will shot down soon because you inflict a lot of anger

Bel Ami was not advertised enough here in UK,not a bad adaptation from book but ending was rushed as if makers had run out of money.
Cosmo read the book very hard to understand probably will not see film as much as I like RPatz.I know he likes Indie Films but a more commercial film is now needed for all age groups.Incidently as far as can see the only place to see Cosmo was in London tried to find a Cinema in Kent but not one listed.
Come on Rob you can act fine just get a bit of guidance for your next project.

How dare Hollywood Life post this article when I thought Bonnie really liked Rob. Rob is here to stay. His movie Cosmopolis has let him sign on with five more projects. He is the best actor to come along in a long time. The movie Bel Ami was held up for two years which caused less interest in the ovie but they don’t tell you that it made tons of money on VOD. I am an ardent fan of Rob’s and will follow him in any movie he makes, sometimes seeing it three or four times. He is one sexy, hunk of leading man. RIP indeed. RPattz is here to stay.

If it went to video on demand and released in only 15 theaters, the studio knew ahead of time Bel Ami was not going to make any money at the multiplex. Going VOD early means it’s there to recoup costs, and get an inkling of profit. Hardcore fans going 3-4 times is not enough, not from a business end. It’s still a vote of no confidence with R-Patz.

Seriously? Robert Pattinson is a natural, he has such a powerful ability to make you feel his emotions no matter what role he plays. Remember Me was a perfect exampe of how Mr. Pattinson draws you into his world, makes you a part of the moment., his moment. I love indie movies and am thrilled Mr. Pattinson likes them also. Real movies, real acting, real emotions…..such a refreshing change! These films are grittier,, therefore showcases an actor ability to stretch and grow out of dreamy Edward Cullen roles. Bravo Mr. Pattinson!

loved movie remember me-play it offien. robert pattinson has what namy actors lack. screen presence. he is mesmerizing on screen. movie cosmopolis is an indi film. did not have much financing to make a reak bug wakkstreet nivue, the movie showcases his ability to nail the role under the direction of david cronenberg.does not have to be a smash hit.

It’s not his acting abilities so much as the roles he chooses. I love him but most fans don’t want to sit through a boring period piece to see him. He needs to be in movies that his target audience would want to see. Get away from Indies and period pieces!

At the end of the day Hwood is all about money. If you can’t give them that OR be extremely talented (see:Gosling) they move on. Right now, Rpatz doesn’t give much of either.
