The Daytime Emmy Show needs more awards for the soap operas. Suggestions are: Best Child Actor/ Actress, Best pet, Best Music for an episode, Best Special event (eg. Spring Harvest, Summer Gala, Hotel Fire, …) etc. Children should not be grouped with teenagers and young adults!
Better music, such as a live band would also make the show more interesting. The show theme song could play when the winner is announced.
Overall, I think that the original purpose of the show should not be forgotten. The Soaps should be highlighted since they air daily!
