Reports are claiming that Ann Curry is being pushed out of her ‘Today’ show co-anchor spot, one year after taking over for Meredith Vierra! While a move isn’t confirmed, Ann is taking the ‘poor ratings personally.’
Ann Curry infamously took over for Meredith Vierra as a co-anchor to Matt Lauer on the Today show in June 2011, but now reports are suggesting that Ann just doesn’t click with viewers and producers are looking for a replacement!
Ann, 55, recently opened up to the August issue of Ladies Home Journal where she discussed her feelings and insecurities of the position!
“You worry, ‘Am I not good enough? Am I not what people need? Am I asking the right questions?’ When people say negative things or speculate, you can’t help but feel hurt,” Curry said about her show’s poor ratings.
Curry adds, “It’s hard not to take it personally.”
The New York Times blog first reported that due to the low ratings, the Today show is currently seeking out a replacement for Curry! And they hope to have the issue settled before the summer Olympics in July!
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Should Today give Ann a longer chance before giving her the heave-ho?
