We never thought we would see the day where the Duchess would be taking fashion tips from the reality star, but who do you think wore Alexander McQueen better? VOTE!
While it’s been quite some time since we last saw this gorgeous red Alexander McQueen pre-fall 2011 dress, we knew it looked awfully familiar when the Royal Duchess wore it at the Diamond Jubilee pageant! Kate Middleton looked absolutely radiant in red for the Diamond Jubilee in London on Jun. 3, wearing a pleated Alexander McQueen dress with a matching fascinator, giving it that regal touch. While it looked stunning, it wasn’t the first time we saw this frock!
Kim Kardashian was the first to flaunt the frock back in August, although her version was a bit different.
While the two were spotted in the same designer dress, they both wore it strikingly different. Not only were the silhouettes different, but they also added their own unique twist to the frock when they styled it. Kim pulled off a much edgier, chic version of the dress — it was sleeveless and a bit shorter and she totally rocked it! The reality star choose to glitz it up a bit with a statement necklace, metallic clutch and Christian Louboutin snakeskin platforms.
However, Kate choose to give it a much more elegant flair, accessorizing with nude LK Bennett heels and a matching red McQueen clutch, topping it off with a Sylvia Fletcher fascinator. While Kate wasn’t the first to wear the ensemble, I really like how she made it her own.
Both look fantastic in this Alexander McQueen mini, but the real question is — who do you think wore it better? VOTE!

Kim’s garment should be at least a size larger and a few inches longer. Perhaps if she had the long sleeved version that would give her additional length. Her necklace is too showy and cuts the line further as do her very noticeable shoes. She does not know how to elongate her body which would make her look less heavy. Hose (or tights) would give her legs a smoother look. They have a knobby look.
