Victoria Grayson’s possibly fatal plane crash was a huge cliffhanger on the season finale of ‘Revenge’ and Madeleine Stowe is talking about being comfortable leaving the show!
We were all shocked in Revenge‘s first season finale when Victoria Grayson’s plane crashed. Everyone wondered whether or not Victoria — one of the show’s most crucial character’s — was really dead. Actress Madeleine Stowe give fans a hint about what happened.
“Initially Mike [Kelley] only wanted to show the car drive onto the tarmac, but not show [Victoria] getting on the plane,” Madeleine confessed to E! about filming the finale. “I said. ‘No, no, no! Mike, you have to have me get out of the car and walk onto the plane and make the audience believe this is going to happen, and even if you don’t blow her up, it’s the strongest choice possible.”
“I really believed in it,” she continued. “So it wasn’t important to me whether I came back or not, I felt that was the wonderful conclusion to this character’s heart. That she would know that she has done so many things wrong and she knows that something terrible might happen, but she’s taking fate into her own hands because she believes it is the right thing to do. So whether Victoria came back or not was immaterial to me. I felt it was the perfect way to end the season.”
It is so wonderful of Madeleine to believe in her character so much she’d be willing to leave Revenge as long as it was a great thing for the show! However, we think her choice of words “make the audience believe” and the fact Mike Kelley wasn’t even going to have her walk on to the plane means we haven’t seen the last of Victoria Grayson.
