Justin Bieber was waiting for girlfriend Selena Gomez at the Toronto airport on June 15 when fans approached wanting autographs. A verbal scuffle ensued and Justin didn’t react in the most polite manner.
“Do I not have any right as a human being to wait for my own girlfriend? Why do you have to be so impatient?” Justin snapped at fans waiting for the star to sign autographs.
Fans insisted that they’d been waiting all day and Justin answered, “I’ve been here waiting for my girlfriend. I’m still a human being, I have a right to wait for my own girlfriend.” One fan answered she wanted to keep waiting and he said, “You’re not being very respectful at all. I feel very disrespected with all you guys waiting.” He continued, “You say you’re really my fans, but then why are you doing this.”
Fans answered, “We’ve had a long day, just be nicer about it.” Justin quipped, “I’ve had a long day too, I flew in. I don’t have to be nicer about it. You guys are in my face.”

On the other, Justin is a huge celebrity and he has to realize that in his lifestyle, he can’t go anywhere without being recognized and approached. If he was tired and didn’t want to entertain fans, he could have waited in the car.
I know celebrities work long hours, but they also get paid very generously and enjoy fabulous perks. I’ve interviewed hundreds of celebrities in my four + years as an entertainment journalist and I can make a list of stars who have been nothing but grateful, friendly and pleasant at every interview — Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, and the Jonas Brothers — just to name a few.
I’ve also had a few horror experiences with certain celebrities who will remain unnamed, so I’m not entirely surprised something like this was caught on camera.
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Was Justin justified in snapping at fans?
