If Drake isn’t punished for the bottle-throwing fight — he could be for allegedly avoiding the police.
Cops want to speak to everyone who was in NYC hotspot W.i.P on June 14– including 25-year-old rapper, Drake — who some eyewitnesses said left before the fight broke out, and others said hurled a bottle at Chris Brown‘s face, according to a new report.
“The detectives are looking at it and investigating it, and if an arrest is appropriate, an arrest is going to be made,” Police Commissioner Ray Kelly told The New York Post. “When detectives got there, no one was there. Eight people were injured. The place was in disarray. They’re gathering information.”
However, Drake’s rep insisted that there’s no reason for him to speak to legal authorities.
“Why would he turn himself in when he did not commit any wrong-doing?” she told The Post.
Chris — who was injured in the fight — has reportedly spoken to police regarding the fight. The 23-year-old is still on probation for attacking Rihanna in 2009.
However, if Drake did throw the bottle at Chris, he could face serious criminal charges and jail time.
We sure hope if Drake really wasn’t involved in the fight he cooperates with police to avoid unnecessary consequences.
