Spoiler Party: A 'True Blood' Death, An 'Awkward' Kiss & More TV Scoop

Prepare yourself for a post full of breakups, makeups and stake…ups!

Happy Wednesday! Allow me to break up your monotonous week — or enhance your already glorious summer week if you’re lucky enough to be a student — with a little scoop on some of the hottest summer shows. From a surprising lip-lock on Awkward to an equally surprising death on True Blood, I’ve got the chicken soup for your TV-addicted soul.

Jane By Design

Like most of you, I was super bummed that Rita (Smith Cho) ended things with Ben (David Clayton Rogers) on the June 12 episode of Jane By Design — so much so that I fired off a tweet of sadness to creator April Blair. Fortunately, she assured me that “happy times on the horizon.” So does this mean Ben and Rita’s breakup is only temporary? Here’s hoping!

True Blood

The first few episodes of True Blood‘s fifth season offer up a parade of new characters, but viewers should be careful not to get attached to any of them too quickly. Someone we first encounter on the June 17 episode meets his untimely end a few weeks later. (Oops! Did I say his? Crap, I always do that.)

While the upcoming second season of MTV’s perfect comedy does — once again — revolve around Matty (Beau Mirchoff) trying to win Jenna’s (Ashley Rickards) affections, she’s not the only girl on his plate. Expect to witness a surprising hookup on the June 28 season premiere between Matty and… well… not Jenna.

Pretty Little Liars

I’m one of the many Pretty Little Liars fans who have griped about the absence of Noel Kahn (Brant Daugherty) on the show’s third season — more specifically the absence of his glorious eyebrows — but I’m happy to report that the end of our dry spell is in sight! Writer Andy Reaser tweeted that the ninth episode of the season is titled “The Kahn Game,” so it sounds like the holy trinity — aka Noel and his brows — will be a major focal point.
