Lucy Hale Record Deal

Lucy Hale took to her Twitter account today to announce to her fans that she’s signed a contract with Hollywood Records, but warns that her music may not be like what we think.

Lucy Hale’s been taking our TV’s by storm for the past couple of years as one of the stars of Pretty Little Liars, and now she’s announced that she’s not stopping there. The 22-year-old actress tweeted, today, that she’s just signed a contract with Hollywood Records, home to some of our favorite artists, like Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, and Selena Gomez. So, you’d expect her sound to be a similar pop sound, right?

Not so fast, says Lucy. “It’s going to be [different] from anything you’ve ever heard from the label, and not what you’d expect from me,” Lucy tweeted today. Just Jared reports that, though Lucy was first inspired, musically, by Britney Spears’ “Baby One More Time” video, she plans to steer her career down the country road.

Lucy, a native of Memphis, Tenn., wants to stick to her roots for her first record. Recording is set to begin later this year, with music available in 2013!

What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Are YOU excited to hear Lucy’s country tunes? Let us know!
