The producer that hired Miley and Liam to star in ‘The Last Song’ recalls the moment he KNEW they would fall in love!

Miley Cyrus is so happy to marry her man Liam Hemsworth, and now we have new details about how they got together in the first place!

Miley, 19, and Liam, 22, had a natural chemistry when they first kissed during rehearsals for their movie The Last Song, producer Adam Shankman tells PEOPLE.

“I remember that first day of shooting when they first kissed and Miley walked by my sister [producer Jennifer Gibgot] after they shot the kissing scene,” he said. “She goes, ‘This is gonna work.’”
