Robert Pattinson: Being Famous Makes Me Feel Disconnected

Robert Pattinson Hates Fame

Rob is one of the biggest celebrities in the world, but you’d never know it! Find out how the ‘Twilight’ star stays so down-to-earth below!

With a winning combination of talent and good looks, Robert Pattinson is one of the most in-demand actors in the world. Yet, the 26-year-old superstar hasn’t let the fame go to his head. In fact, he doesn’t even really think he’s all that famous!

In a recent TV interview with George Stroumboulopoulos, Rob opens up about what life is like inside the Hollywood machine. “You’re completely disconnected from your doppelgänger,” he explained. “I just don’t think I’m confident enough to really claim… if you really claim it, you can have obscene power over people.”

“But it does come with a kind of responsibility, so I’ve just tried to avoid the responsibility of it completely. I can do what I want still.”

Though plenty of good has come from starring in the Twilight films — such as meeting his girlfriend Kristen Stewart — Rob thinks that worldwide notoriety hasn’t changed his personality.

“I think I was pretty similar before,” he admitted. “I’d be one of those people who was desperate to go to a party, but when they go to the party, they just stand in the corner with the people they came with and not acknowledge that anyone else is there.”

Check out more of Rob’s revealing interview below!

Dude, Rob we will never get tired of you! After Twilight ends you probably won’t get mobbed anymore or followed to movie sets but we’ll always be there behind the scenes at movie theatres enjoying everything you do.

while you are welcome to this opinion expressed, oddly enough, on a “rob” interview site…i don’t share it. rob is fortunate that someone like cronenberg recognized his innate talent, encouraged him to trust that, and supported him-and he’s given the performance of his life….can’t act?! he’s great–and GOOD ON HIM!
