In a new TV interview, Rob reveals his initial impression of Edward Cullen — and it’s hysterical!
Robert Pattinson may be best known for playing the iconic role of Edward Cullen, but as it turns out, he didn’t even know the first thing about the Twilight saga when he was offered the role!
In an interview with George Stroumboulopoulos that aired on June 8, Rob says he was living in London when he got a phone call (at 3 a.m.!) from the film’s director, Catherine Hardwicke. At the time, Rob hadn’t yet yet the script or book series.
After describing the role, Catherine asked Rob what he thought of everyone’s favorite vampire. “Oh man, he’s an animal, he’s an animal, a sex machine — he’s crazy,” Rob said, while laughing about his gross misinterpretation. “I didn’t know what i was talking about.”
