Brian Banks Wrongfully Accused Rape

Brian is trying out for at least six major NFL teams after spending the last five years of his life in jail stemming from false rape accusations! Find out all the details!

Brian Banks is a pro football hopeful who has been exciting National Football League teams all around the country with his amazing skills, but not too long ago, he was sitting in jail for a crime he did not commit!

Brian’s hopes of a career in football were tarnished 10 years ago when he was falsely accused of raping a fellow high school student in a stairwell. But on Thursday June 7, Brian was able to show Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll his skills that obviously never tarnished as he sat behind bars!

Not many people are given second chances, and Brian is making sure that he doesn’t take advantage of his given opportunity! “When I walked out on that field, I thought, ‘It’s now or never. Let’s just shine,” Banks told Randy Paige of CBS Los Angeles station KCBS-TV.

Despite his innocence, Brian was advised to plead “no contest” to the rape accusations over a decade ago, but was imprisoned and paroled as a registered sex offender! Brian hired a private investigator that was able to catch the accuser on tape admitting she’d lied about the assault! (Talk about a lucky break!)

Now, two weeks after his release from jail, Brian has at least six NFL teams interested in giving him a try out! Brian even received an invitation to participate in a formal tryout next week during the Seattle Seahawks’ offseason minicamp!

While on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno June 6, Brian revealed that his other goal is to raise money to support his mother, who sold her house, car and went into debt to cover his legal expenses! “That is one good woman,” Jay Leno said.

“Strongest woman I know,” Banks replied.
