Rihanna completely freaks out when a reporter implies it was wrong for her to work with Chris Brown. She then discusses the possibility of them reuniting romantically but clarifies it hasn’t happened yet!
Rihanna may be okay planning clubbing nights with Chris Brown but she does not want people to think they are back together. In fact, she got very angry at a reporter who spoke with her about Chris!
An Esquire UK reporter told Rihanna that some of her fans “felt it sent the wrong message” for her to make new music with Chris. “What was that? What message would that be?” Rihanna replied testily. “You’d gone back to someone who put you in the hospital,” the journalist responded.
“Did I? Did I? Did I?” Rihanna said. “OK. In a completely professional environment. And on a complete professional note. I mean, if I went back to him [as a girlfriend], then that’s a whole different discussion. And if I ever do, then that’s something that y’all have to talk to me about when—if—that ever happens. Until then, look at it for what it is.” When that happens? Could that have been a Freudian slip? It seems like Rihanna is starting to pave the way so people get comfortable if she gets back together with Chris.
When the interviewer pointed out she often blends her personal and professional life with her music, it set Rihanna off even more. “I’m gonna look back on my life and say that I enjoyed it—and I lived it for me—and God. This is turning into a tacky interview. What do you really want to talk about? I’m not here to [talk] about messy s**t.”
