After three years of dating, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are ready to say “I do.”

HollywoodLife.com has confirmed with Liam’s rep that the two are officially engaged.

“I’m so happy to be engaged and look forward to a life of happiness with Liam,” Miley told People magazine.

Liam proposed to Miley on May 31 with 3.5-carat cushion-cut diamond ring from jeweler Neil Lane.

Miley, 19, met Liam, 22, when they co-starred in The Last Song together in 2009 where he was reportedly her first real kiss.

Miley even took it to Twitter to express her excitement on the engagement after the news broke.

“Life is beautiful,” she tweeted on June 6. “I love you more today than yesterday but I love you less today than I will tomorrow….”

While an official wedding date has not been set, it’s interesting timing for the two since Liam’s stardom from The Hunger Games is on the rise — but clearly Liam took her advice on fame to heart.

“Always remember who was there for you before any of this matters,” Miley said at the premiere of The Hunger Games on March 12. “The people who love you for you and loved you from the beginning.”

Miley’s parents Billy Ray, 50, and Tish, 45, are thrilled about the news, according to People.

“They couldn’t be happier,” a source tells the mag, noting that they’ve always “thought of Liam as part of the family.”

We can’t believe these two are getting married!
