Megan’s parents believe Justin’s music saved their daughter’s life!
There’s no denying that Justin Bieber loves his fans, but his latest gesture shows just how truly important they are to him. When Justin recently learned about a 11-year-old Portland girl named Megan Ham with an extremely rare and life-threatening medical condition who only responds to his music, he vowed to meet her.
“MEGAN you stay strong for me and I’m gonna make sure we meet when i come to Portland. Love you and Thank You :)” Justin tweeted on June 6.
Megan was diagnosed with Lissencephaly shortly after birth, and doctors initially didn’t expect her to live past the age of two. Somehow, she has defied the odds and her parents believe that Justin is partly to thank.
“She just can’t get enough of him,” says Megan’s mother, Roxanne Ham.
Though Megan is unable to talk or walk, her teachers at school noticed that she’d smile and kick her feet whenever Justin’s music would play.
“It really helps her to get through the day,” said teacher Kim Graves. “It keeps her happy and it keeps her comfortable.”
Megan’s wheelchair is now equipped with a special switch so she can listen to hismusic whenever she wants. “It makes me want to cry, she’s happy and she’s healthy, it’s a pretty big deal,” revealed Megan’s father, Michael Ham.
Justin will be in Portland this October and we bet Megan’s family is counting down the days until she gets to meet him!
