'Teen Wolf' Season Premiere Recap: A New Enemy Is On The Hunt For Scott

It’s not a great time to be a werewolf in Beacon Hills. What are your thoughts on the season premiere?

Teen Wolf‘s second season kicked off June 3, and while it continued to follow last season’s winning formula — heavy on suspense, light on clothing — it also introduced some pretty nasty curveballs for Scott (Tyler Posey) and the gang. Fortunately, one thing will never change: Everyone in Beacon Hills is still ridiculously attractive.

Allison’s (Crystal Reed) grandfather came to town for Kate’s funeral (RIP!), and it turns out he’s just like every other grandfather: He sends money for birthdays, he wears old-fashioned tweed hats, and he cuts werewolves in half with swords. Yes, that last part really did it happen; and it was super gross. Needless to say, he’s probably going to be a thorn in Scott’s side for the rest of the season — but that’s better than being a sword in his stomach.

Speaking of Scott and Allison, they’re now hooking up in secret after Mr. Argent (J.R. Bourne) threatened to kill Scott if he ever touched his daughter again. Little did he know, a whole lot of touching went down on the premiere, though Allison’s Nazi mom interrupted her sexy times with Scott when she came barging in her bedroom. (Scott’s getting REALLY good at sneaking out windows these days.)

Fresh off his season-finale nibble from Derek (Tyler Hoechlin), Jackson (Colton Haynes) was itching for his first transformation, but instead discovered his (perfect) body was actually fighting the bite. I honestly never thought I could find Jackson unappealing — until I saw him bleeding black blood from his ears and nose. Regardless of what happens to him, I just hope he stops being gross. We need #HotJackson back! (That’s right, get it trending, kids.)

The other big question mark of the premiere was Lydia (Holland Roden), who bolted naked from her hospital room and ran off shrieking into the night. She was eventually discovered a few nights later, but not before a handful of mangled corpses turned up in Beacon Hills. We still don’t know whether or not Lydia was said mangler, but we do know Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) will continue to love her either way. He even defended her for allegedly digging up a dead person and eating their liver! (“It’s the most nutritious part of the body.”)

We also met a few new friends, but it might be too soon to officially call them that. There’s Isaac (Daniel Sharman), a handsome dude who LITERALLY works the graveyard shift at the graveyard, and Matt (Stephen Lunsford), another handsome dude who loves to take creepy pictures of Allison at funerals. Yes, they both have their flaws — but they’re so pretty, I’m willing to look past them.

OK, give me your thoughts on the premiere: Do you think Jackson and Lydia are werewolves? We’ll get the answer to (some of) these questions tomorrow night, so for now, drop your thoughts and theories in the comments section below!

amazing episode! I think that Jackson wont become a ware wolf at all and will join the argents out of spite ( he’ll kill warewolves because he can’t be one) and I think that Lydia is something but something completely different… not sure what yet but she’s hiding something. can’t wait for the rest of the season! :)

First of all, the episode was AMAZING! I couldn’t be more excited for this season! Now I’ll just jump right in, I don’t think that Lydia is a werewolf but I do think that she is something “supernatural”. As far as Jackson, he doesn’t deserve the bite. While he may be uber gorgeous and we love his “asshole jock” behavior, I will be upset if he actually turns. I think that his body should just reject the bite and go back to the way he was. Seriously, it takes a lot away from Scott and the show itself if there’s going to be a lot of new werewolves running around. It’s entertaining because we love watching how Scott learns to deal with being a werewolf and all of the problems that come with it. What the hell happens to the show if there’s 5 other werewolves running around? The mystery dies and with that so does the interest. I’m not saying that a change is bad, I’m just saying that if this show turns into eveyone being turned into a werewolf I will be greatly dissapointed. Until that happens though I will continue to watch EVERY episode faithfully and watch this season with great anticipation for how it will unfold!

If you missed last nights season premiere you can check blinkx/remote or 1channel.ch for the posting of the episode. Usually they post it the day after. I super enjoyed the first season and can’t wait to see what happens in the second. Last nights show was just awsome beyond words. My sister and I (plus kids and husbands) all get together to watch the shows. We’ve all become serious addicts for Teen Wolf. All the girls will sit around and actually argue over who they think is the biggest hoty on the show. Can’t wait to see the second half of the premiere tonight!
