The vampires stole the show! Even though ‘The Hunger Games’ took home several awards — ‘Breaking Dawn’ got the biggest one. Read one for more details!

Breaking Dawn took home the award for Best Movie at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards on June 3 — and Kristen Stewart couldn’t be prouder.

The 22-year-old accepted the award with the cast and expressed how ecstatic she was that they won in an emotional speech.

We’re so happy they won! And K-Stew’s speech was amazing, but we definitely missed Robert Pattinson.

i m sooooooooooooo happy cuz twilight won it’s my fav and i was scared that the hunger games would take the award even though the hunger games took 4 awards we got the most important best movie and best kiss goooooooooooooooo twilight yay!!!!

It just shows u that the twilight saga still rules over the hunger games and Harry potter! It might be a popularity contest but it just shows everyone that the hunger games Is not the new twilight and never will be! The twilight saga has a more dedicated and loyal fan base. We showed that last night!

they’re the only loveteam/couple on-screen and offcam that will always be supported as one even though they are walking on different paths and journey because even if its like that both of them always finds a way to meet at the end… always support every project they do

It’s just a popularity contest. These awards are fan-generated, there for, they have no merit. Few things in life are more irrelevant then the outcome of the MTV Movie Awards. Basically, who cares? The MTV Movie Awards don’t mean anything.

we care! at some point, rob has become “family” and because he loves kris, then she’s become family too…we want producers and directors and writers and fellow actors and media to know loud and clear…we are not twi-hards (per se), we are individuals of all ages who have a deep and abiding love and respect for these actors and their work, and we will support any project they are involved in, we support them in any way that can benefit them, and, last but not least, i am filled with profound pride at the nation of devoted fans who showed an outpouring of that love and support.

The people who voted for it. And let’s not forget all of those fans who went to see the movie. And there were plenty of them because Twilight has hung in there with HP and HG. If it wasn’t for the boost from 3-D surcharges – which aer anywhere from $3 to $15 PER TICKET depending on where you live – the box office would have been very close to even across the board. Great to see Twilgiht beat them both.

umm,qren’t u forgetting that BD is not just a rob and kristien movie!! it’s all the other actors too. so plz stop giving them all
the credit for it’s success.yes they are a big part of the movies,but it wasn’t just the 2 of them in the movie.

Rob and Kristen should have been nominated for Best Male/Female because BD1 was amazing. The last 30 with the birthing scene and Bella’s death (between the acting and CGI effects) alone owned the entire HG movie. But Robert said it best in an interview “Twilight has had an amazing run but people want some fresh meat”. Jen & Josh needs to work on their chemistry because there is NOTHING sexy or appealing about watching them together on screen.

just let me say that r&k are always the first ones to ackowledge that the twilight saga films are a team effort, understanding that it truly is…however, the fact remains that in BD, they have the lead roles and therefore, represent everyone involved, from fellow actors to writers, directors and producers..and media attention.
i am by no means a tweenie bopper, and if you’d been watching the crowds as rob tours for cosmopolis, you should have easily spotted ALL ages and manner of devoted fans.
and, bria,(your name is so pretty!), i do feel that rob & kris should have been nominated and allowed to be up for the vote…just sayin’! they were both exceptional and entirely believeable.
rob & kristen are loved, honestly—and on their behalf, i’m saying they should have been included in this category–whether they won or not;it was deserved.
oh, and bria, if you think that winning the vote against the onslaught of other voters wasn’t like moving a mountain—then you just have no idea of what real love and support is!

OH MY GOD! They did it! I got teary-eyed when I learned from mtv.com that they won. I’m really happy right now and my votes were all woth it! I’m so proud of them and I can’t wait for Breaking Dawn Part 2. THE BEST IS YET TO COME! :)
