Lamar Odom Olympic team

Despite Lamar’s lousy season with the Dallas Mavericks the U.S. Olympic team is forced to consider him! Read on to find out why.

Lamar Odom has been intensely training in hopes to make the U.S. Olympic basketball team this summer. And has learned exclusively that his chances of him getting a jersey are very high.

But it’s only because other big names like Dwight Howard (Orlando Magic), Chris Bosh (Miami Heat) and Derrick Rose (Chicago Bulls) have injuries and the team is looking for a big name, a source tells

“If Lamar makes the team it just proves that the Men’s basketball team have lost a ton of talent due to injury,” a source tells us.

The team is hand-selected and the players will only be tested on their physical endurance and for drugs. While the roster won’t be finalized until July 7 — Anthony Davis is in the running next to Lamar for the Olympic team since he’s the number one pick for the NBA draft which will be on June 28.

Lamar definitely wants this opportunity, so it would be great if he gets it. And we’re sure Khloe would be proud!

What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Would you like to see Lamar make the Olympic team?

No. He should not make the team. There are other players who deserve the chance and can deliver better. The team does not need a celebrity name. No need to turn the US team into the laughting stock of the Olympics. Teams from other countries do not resort to that. Besides, Lamar will bring disarmony within the US team at a time when it should be united. Lamer should stary in LA and decide if he wants to be a celebrity or a basketball player.
