Robert Kennedy Jr.'s Girlfriend Makes First Public Appearance Since Suicide of Mary Kennedy

Robert F Kennedy Jr.’s, girlfriend was all smiles as she attended the ‘Variety’ first annual Primetime Emmy’s Studio on May 31, after laying low since Mary Kennedy’s death.

Cheryl Hines put on a brave front at an event in West Hollywood. The Curb Your Enthusiasm star has been dating Robert F. Kennedy and there were reports that this ultimately worsened his estranged wife Mary Kennedy‘s depression.

The mother-of-four took her own life on May 16 at her Mount Kisco home. Robert and Cheryl met at one of his charity events but long after he had filed for divorce from Mary.

But reports claim that Cheryl’s growing relationship with her estranged husband and closeness with her children, greatly upset her. Robert had also filed to obtain full custody of the kids, which also is said to have led to Mary’s increasing depression.

RFK Jr. made his choice a long time ago, with Cheryl mentally hazing Mary by posting pix of Mary and RFK Jr’s kids. Hazing and taunting; and RFK Jr using his eulogy for Mary to cry for himself, probably thinking Damn, now I’ve got to be with the kids and not the latest chick I’m screwing–don’t kid yourself Cheryl, that’s all you are. And Cheryl reappearing and still doing that stupid head-cocked-to-the-side come hither look–you are too old for that Cheryl! But Mary Kennedy is always going to be tied to Kennedy history like Mary Jo Kopechne or Joan Kennedy so RFK Jr and Cheryl might as well forget ever escaping her!!!!!

I think her siblings missed helping Mary Richardson , I think RFK, jr is a big enough Democrat for this to hurt Obama in the general election. I thinkRobert pushed her into a reactive disorder that caused her deep depression. If any mother knows what it is like to have their children taken away by a powerful man who is a narcissist
they could understand how deeply wounded she was. I only wish
someone had known her pain, because no one would have left her alone. The pain of having your children gone, and a husband who would not let her see her own children on mother’s day. He is in denial if he thinks he had nothing to do with her suicide. Why no one speaks up is beyond me. Has anyone heard of reactive disorder? She just might have been responding to his cruel narcissistic behavior and the fact he was having an affair BEFORE he filed for divorce. And he was a complete idiot to think she could tolerate this, and selfish beyond belief with four children’s live’s at stake. How he could do this is beyond belief. Really he took the kids away from her because he is a powerful Kennedy after one DUI? Did Ted Kennedy or Robert Kennedy get their children taken away because of a DUI? ANd Mary did not even kill anyone or have anyone in the car. I am not saying its okay but the male Kenned’s get in drunk driving accidents where people die, and nothing happens. And Mary one time and her children are gone like that? What judge determined that I’d like to know. The same one that lets all the Kennedy men walk free on drunk driving charges?

He delivered the eulogy (!) and stated that his wife referred to herself in the past tense, “… I was always the good girl…” in a phone call the DAY before she committed suicide! Anyone with a “sick” loved one (or even an ex-loved one) would’ve hear that statement as an absolute and immediate cry for help.

wow. this woman doesn’t deserve this hate. she had nothing to do with the demise of this relationship. by all accounts the woman was a drunk and refused to get help. i have pity for her, and have known people like her (except the ones i knew weren’t successful when they tried suicide- and/or they called 911 before they got to that point). i don’t care if cheryl came in before the papers were filed or not- nor do i doubt that kennedy is just like the rest of the men in his family- but this woman who took her own life was a wreck and nobody is responsible for what happened to her except herself. some people do not want to be saved.

Mary Kennedy was not some “drunk” and she did seek help and treatment for her alcoholism. She’s remembered as an amazing mother, sister and friend; an accomplished woman who was involved in the community and various charities. Everyone loved and respected Mary Kennedy. It’s tragic she took her own life, but I don’t agree in her case that “some people don’t want to be saved”. I believe Mary was in a state of deep depression because she was betrayed and left by a husband she loved, was treated callously by him and she felt she lost everything precious in her life including her children (what man doesn’t let his children see their mother on Mother’s Day?). Those circumstances could drive anyone to a pit of despair. Suicide is a selfish act, and Cheryl Hines is not responsible for Mary’s death. Robert Kennedy, however, will have to answer to a higher power for his part in his wife’s death.

Don’t insult hillbillies by saying she is them! She is a social climbing creep who has glommed onto RFK Jrs’ kids and would like the things that come with the Kennedy name: money, social status; and probably the access to other powerful men with whom to have affairs after RFK Jr starts cheating on her or she has been with him long enough to get palimony/alimony. Wow, the lucky winner who gets RFK Jr. He looks like an alcoholic himself. That ruddy face and hungover eyes in many of his pictures.
