Kristen Stewart reveals how she sees herself in her character in the upcoming ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’, and why the role of Snow White is close to her heart.
In the interview accompanying her sexy photo spread in Interview Magazine, Kristen Stewart speaks candidly about women, serious acting, and why Snow White‘s tragic yet empowering story strikes close to home.
“There is this debilitating isolation that [Snow White] feels because she has been locked away in a little cell for seven years. And I can kind of relate to that,” Kristin confesses.
The Twilight actress says that after years of being called Bella Swan, she understands the unrealistic expectations of perfection that come with being Snow White.
“There is something . . . it’s not the reason that I wanted to do the movie, but the fans and people who loved Twilight, they do put you on this sort of different plane where you’re not real,” Kristin reveals.
In her new film, Kristen is far from a vampire-loving, damsel-in-distress as she battles the evil Queen Ravenna played by Charlize Theron. Her Snow White is getting praise for its new feminist take.
Do YOU think Kristen is a good fit for Snow White, especially with how she can relate to the character?
