While doing press in Portugal for his ‘Cosmopolis’ premiere, Robert Pattinson speaks about his important his ‘Twilight’ fans are to him. Could be get any better?

Though he may be branching out from the films that made him a star, Robert Pattinson knows better than to turn his back on the fans of the Twilight saga.

Speaking at a press conference today in Portugal, the 26-year-old heartthrob told reporters that while he is aware that “this role is very different from [his] character in Twilight,” he still cares very much what his fans think of his new work.

“I care about what everyone thinks. I know that many young girls will see the movie, and I hope everyone enjoys it,” he concluded.

We wouldn’t expect anything less from our boy Rob.
