Michelle praises Bey’s contributions to the ‘Let’s Move’ kids anti-obesity campaign — ‘Beyonce stepped up,” the First Lady gushes!
The First Lady and the First Lady of Hip Hop have joined forces! Beyonce has said that Michelle Obama is the “ultimate example for women” — and now the performer is praised right back for helping kids have fun while exercising!
“I love her to death,” said Michelle, 48, on Good Morning America while promoting her new book American Grown: The Story of the White House Kitchen Garden on May 29. Michelle and her two daughters, Sasha and Malia, had saw Beyonce, 30, in concert over the weekend.
The First Lady gushed about how middle schoolers have been busting out their moves to Beyonce’s song ‘Move Your Body’ as a part of her nation-wide exercise campaign. “Anybody who’s got talent, I’m all for. She’s just been a tremendous supporter of ‘Let’s Move’. She reformulated ‘Move Your Body’ to do a flashmob for kids across this country.”
“This was happening all across the country, all across the world,” she continued. “Beyonce stepped up, so many of our athletes and celebrities are stepping up on behalf of this (movement).”
