'Spring Breakers' Reviews: Critics Love Selena Gomez's New Movie

The film debuted a brief clip at the Cannes Film Festival to rave reviews — Justin Bieber must be so happy for her!

Selena Gomez has been working so hard on her film career, and it seems to be paying off — early reviews of her upcoming movie Spring Breakers are stellar!

Selena, 19, stars in the racy flick, and fans were treated to an early peek of a preview at the Cannes Film Festival. The consensus? It will be amazing!

“The best thing I’ve seen so far in Cannes: the outdoor movie Harmony Korine, Spring Breakers, alongside Tarantino movie. Harm is back!” wrote Twitter user Tom Charity.

“We saw a few minutes. Struck me see Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens in such extreme scenes for the film from Korine.” wrote Twitter user Diego Batlle.

“The craziest movie of 2013? To be a Harmony Korine movie with theft, lesbian scenes, and punk. And James Franco with gold teeth.” wrote Twitter user Filiberto Molossi.

It sounds like such an extreme role for Selena — we can’t wait for it to come to the big screen!

Whet the heck!!! Is not just selena’s movie is the other actresses movies as well!!! Just cuz shes satin Mb n making a bunch of movies does not mean that she is more canoes than the other actresses!! You know what I find amazing about some of these comments on this site? It’s how you people take it out on Selena when she is not the one who wrote this article! She’s not the one going around bragging it’s her movie. It’s you people! I’m very sure you haven’t seen the movie like many others haven’t. All the actresses have about the same amount of movies under their belt. If the critics loved Selena it’s their choice not yours. Again Selena nor critics had anything in writing this article. Complain to the person who wrote it!

It’s not Selena’s movie- It’s Harmony’s move.. But I am pretty impressed. I thought the critics would say awful things about the movie, but now I am looking forward to the movie. I didn’t expect ‘lesbian scenes’. I am very excited!

Why Selena?? I know she’s the hottest right now BUT what happen when the full movie is released the other actress received critical praised more than her? I think you should just put “Spring Breakers Amazing Reviews” or something like that

iits a movie, and they are in swimsuits, have you ever been to the beach ,but on selena movies, its not hers there are three other girls who star in it, but i want the critics to see the whole movie and give a full review before i see it, sorry, i don’t like seeing bad acting in a movie, so if they say the rest of the movie is good i will see it, but if it is bad i wont

First off, they are in bikinis for spring break in Florida, that clears up an explanation for their wardrobe.

I’m watching this movie because it looks really interesting and Selena and James Franco of course.mainly because of Selena lol.I’m so glad to see her maturing so well.i hope she does more older films.btw not all of Selena’s fans are kids,I’m 18.

I think you are insane if you think this movie is really about
“selena’s movie”. For me, it’s all about James Franco, you know the guy who got nominated for an Oscar and can act plus the fact that Harmony Korine is an insane director, makes me want to watch this badly.

Majority of Selena’s fans will not be able to watch this movie anyway, because they are far too young, However, I’m glad that it is a hit in Cannes. I find it surprising that other key movie websites haven’t reported anything on this from Cannes.You seem to be the first and only through tweets but I have faith in James and Harmony to pull this off brilliantly.

Plus, as somone has already referenced it also includes
Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson and Rachel Korine, so they shouldn’t be ignored either in your article. Seems, like great work by all involved generally. It’s a must do for 2013.
