A horrific tragedy of a Philadelphia mom who murdered her 18-month-old twins and poisoned her 4-year-old daughter over a jealous rage from her husband’s affair.
Stacey Newkirk, 41, was allegedly enraged because she thought her husband was having an affair with Stacey’s adult daughter from a previous relationship.
The mother had smothered her baby twins (Adam and Eve Smalls), poisoned her yet unnamed 4-year-old daughter with prescription pills, and then tried to kill herself, reports the Daily Mail on May 25.
Her husband came home after work and found his limp and lifeless infants on the bed and his wife’s wrists slashed — he called 911 immediately.
The police arrived to find the woman telling them, “I harmed my babies.”
A note was found next the children that said, “This is why I killed your kids” and detailed her husband’s alleged affair with her adult daughter from a previous relationship, reported My Fox Philly.
Police believe one of the twins was drowned, the other was strangled. The 4-year-old is reportedly at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children being evaluated but doctors do not know what medication she was given.
