Colleen Atwood, the esteemed costume designer who worked on the film, told us how K-Stew doesn’t wind up with either of her suitors!
We’re used to watching attractive men fight over Kristen Stewart on the big screen, but her character in Snow White and The Huntsman isn’t timid like Bella, nor does she rely on a man to shape her future — even though she’s caught in a major love triangle between the Huntsman and Prince Charming! We got to catch up with talented costume designer, Colleen Atwood, at the launch of HSN’s limited-edition Snow White and The Huntsman collection preview in NYC, who told us how viewers might be surprised when Snow White ends up with either suitor!
“You don’t really know who is going to reappear in her life.” Colleen said. “Maybe both of them again! You don’t know, it’s left very open.”
Colleen also said the love triangle isn’t what one would normally expect. “She’s fighting for them in this case. She united everybody in the story. It’s quite a different twist on the girl sitting there, waiting for the men to rescue her. It’s the other way around, she rescues everybody in the story and it’s a nice take on it.”
While we may not know who K-Stew’s character will end up with, Colleen gushed about her experience working with the actress. “She’s an amazing actress with a lot of experience for her age and she’s extremely disciplined in her craft,” Colleen said. “In the movie, she did almost all of the action scenes herself. She works really hard are really thinks about the material. It’s inspirational to see that in a young actor.”
I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see K-Stew in the intense scenes — and while most actors would be hesitant to take on the role, Colleen said she really went for it! “She was ready to go, she really embraced it.”
It sounds like Kristen is definitely going to impress as Snow White — and we can’t wait to see it!
