Kelly Clarkson’s new video for ‘Dark Side’ is a poignant reminder about loving yourself & others for everything they’re worth.
As the queen of American Idol, Kelly Clarkson continues to tackle the not-so-easy-to-talk-about issues. Set to a lullaby-like arrangement, she sings on the song’s gripping chorus, “Everybody’s got a dark side. Do you love me? Can you love mine?” The track is reminiscent of her earlier chart-topping single “Because of You” — but with much more depth.
The song, which she recently performed at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards, is a punch to the stomach for anyone who’s felt the same. The video features several portraits of human life, including a man who’s lost his job, a girl struggling with body image and a former beauty queen addicted to pills. Kelly’s striking vocals bring the heartbreaking stories to life and transports the listener right into the middle of the action. With only subtle imagery, the viewer is able to take away what they will.

You can catch Kelly on the Duets series premiere at 8 p.m. tonight on ABC!
Hollywoodlifers, what do you think of Kelly’s new video? Is it her best yet?

I saw this video and heard this song for the first time this morning. I struggle with PTSD and had had one of the worst nights in a while last night. This song was such an encouragement. It describes exactly how I feel. Love it!
