‘Revenge’ Season Finale: Emily Discovers A Twisted Family Secret

Revenge Season Finale

The season finale of ‘Revenge’ brought Emily face-to-face with her worst enemy of all — but that wasn’t the biggest surprise of the night!

Through trickery and a fake break-in, Emily (Emily VanCamp) secured the evidence linking everyone to the terrorist attack on the May 23 season finale of Revenge; all she needed was Nolan (Gabriel Mann) to break into the Grayson Global security protecting the software. But her trusted confidant was unreachable, and when Emily arrived at his house looking for him, she found a message urging her to call the white-haired man. Eventually, they agreed to meet face-to-face — as if Emily would handle avenging her father’s death any other way.

After chloroforming herself to maintain secrecy, Emily woke up handcuffed next to Nolan, and the white-haired man threatened to torture her friend if she didn’t tell him where she hid the evidence. Emily revealed a fake location, broke herself and Nolan free from the handcuffs, then waited patiently for her foe to return, while Nolan took the evidence to Victoria’s (Madeleine Stowe) SEC agent. Emily’s training really paid off, because she kicked serious butt in the final showdown with the white-haired man — but instead of murdering him, she chose to walk away!

While Conrad (Henry Czerny) proposed in order to keep Lydia (Amber Valletta) from testifying against him, Victoria learned her ex-husband had ordered David (James Tupper) killed, which made her want to do the most shocking thing a Grayson could do — tell the truth! And she had fully immunity, so who could really blame her?

Meanwhile, Charlotte (Christa B. Allen) attempted to get retribution against Declan (Connor Paolo) by exposing his school project partner as a “tramp” who was caught as a minor with her history teacher. Ashley (Ashley Madekwe) also finally broke the news about the kiss between Emily and Jack (Nick Weschler) to Daniel (Josh Bowman), and after confronting his fiancée, they decided to call it quits. Emily decided to tell Jack everything, but her plans were ruined when Amanda (Margarita Levieva) returned to the Hamptons with a little more than she left with: a baby!

As if this finale hadn’t reached its peak of jaw-droppingness, Victoria, Lydia and others who planned to testify against Conrad, boarded a plane that exploded, apparently leaving no survivors. It was literally a “blast from the past.” (Seriously, if a plane explodes, a Grayson’s name is attached to it.) To make things worse, Charlotte called Declan for comfort after hearing of her mother’s possible death, and when he ignored her, she turned to drugs — for the last time!

But just when Emily thought all the evidence that exonerated her father disappeared along with the people on the plane, Nolan saved the day once again! He backed up the hard drive from Grayson Global, and Emily learned her father’s death went way beyond the Graysons.

Oh, also… her mother is still alive!

It’s going to be a long summer waiting for season two, but at least we had this epic finale! What do you make of the big twist with Emily’s mom? Do you think Charlotte is really dead? And what about the passengers aboard the plane? Drop a comment with your thoughts and theories!

I hope charlotte is not dead (NO!) She’s one of the only characters inside this fold without secret agendas, and she’s emily’s half-sister. It seems more likely victoria would really be dead.. (It would be a shock.) Victoria couldn’t be emily’s mom- that makes no sense and emily and daniel hooking up?eww!
I wanted faux-amanda and jack together because the real amanda clarke is really dark (“she died” and became emily thorne, remember?) And faux-amanda seemed sorta good for him. But.. I felt enormously bad for ems. As for the nolan being emily’s brother theory, whaaa? Smocking crack? (Not just responding to above writer but all the crazy theories I heard!!) And nolan and ems hooking up? Whaaa? Some things have to be what they seem. (Have the ppl posting here watched ringer? I will miss ringer.. Had some nice comparisons to revenge but they made revenge easier to understand with each episode being themed nd the revenge thing hammered in. Simplicity, cadences.) Anyway, I don’t think emily’s mom stayed away to “protect” anyone. I think ems mom must be pretty evil and powerful, making victoria look like fish food. Totally intrigued. Questions: did ems mom love david clarke? Did victoria love david clarke?
I heard something about a dark secret of david clarkes on victorias video… He always seems like a saint… I don’t think that will change tho. I think he sort of was a saint. Next.. Lydia. I heard it suggested she was ems mom, which gave me pause for thought. I could see it but I’d rather it be someone else. Finally, why did the grey haired man wink at gobsmacked ems and keep her secret? Guess he has some interest in not outing her to the graysons. I hope emily and daniel get back together- seeing ems deal with the lie in an intimate relationship is emotionally provocative and rich.

If the grey haired man knows that Emily is really Amanda, shouldn’t they all be after her to kill her?

Victoria, Emily’s mother? Then the show promoted sexual relationships between brothers (Emily/ Daniel)??? doesn’t make sense!! Nolan could be Emily’s brother…but that would kill the show sincebig actress we already have a secret sisters thing going on (Charlotte-Emily). My bet is that Victoria will come back, that Emily’s mom will be some big actress with a strong personality, that will be as mean as Victoria but in a good way (remeber that if she is alive, that means the father cheated on her with Victoria==second revenge). I don’t know,,,what do you think?

agreed. but mama won’t consider it cheating, david and victoria- cuz she went amongst the missing and wanted him to move on with his life and find a mom for her daughter whom she was running from to protect, etc. etc.— and then there will be some sort of catfights between victoria and said mom where this will all come out. lots of stuff there. after this successful run/year, they should be able to rope in a big name. i wonder how much ms. vancamp will like having any spotlight taken away from her? probably the new character will just be a bits and pieces role for quite awhile tho… i’m sure they’re gonna want to keep this plot as stretched out as possible to see if they can get 7 or 8 seasons out of it- like desperate housewives…

With Conrad’s words ringing in her ears, Victoria (Hey! She can’t be killed off that soon!) got off the plane before it exploded. Charlotte will be fine once they rush her to the hospital and have her stomach pumped. Also, too soon to get Emily (real Amanda) together with Jack so you had to bring back the fake Amanda to keep the sexual tension between Jack and the real Amanda going since most viewers want them to get together. An old ploy, but it works for ratings.

Victoria is of course going to be Emily’s mother, as foreshadowed when Emily was fighting with the gray haired man and he said something to the effect of, you’re strong and take after your mother. Also they softened Victoria’s character in having her go to Washington to do the right thing.

maybe they do this to keep madeline’s bidding position low if she didn’t peg in her price for a second season??? but, in any case, in a world where those things don’t factor into the plot- victoria is most certainly alive. hey, maybe there will be a twist where she planned it all just to off the mistress and has her own revenge scheme plotted toward conrad??? i mean, not entirely consistent with her message of just doing the right thing now… but, you never know what a summer off will bring…

Victoria being dead is a joke.. perhaps some twist came in the end but dead she is not.
Daniel and Emily can have each other .. he’s weak and she’s a leech.. PERFECT… go suffer each other
Charlotte can be developed… she already has the makings of her mother… move her from being a drug induced hopeless to someone with brains and business savvy.. she cna kick Daniel’s butt
Jack knows that he love Emily but as he a good guy he will do right by fake Amanda… wont it be great if he ask for a DNA test or gets one done secretly…
Where is Emily’s mentor.. want him back
Nolan and Emily being siblings would be a GREAT plot… ohhhhh the possibilities…
Can this plot go all the way up the ladder to someone really rich and famous and influential like a business tycoon

AUGHHH I cannot waitttt…. but if you bring this on a Sunday and its clashing with Walking Dead then I am totally screwed cause I love both shows

The biggest turn of the night was Emily crying – showing emotion – when she found out about the baby.

I think Nolan is Emily’s brother. We think that’s why her father gave him money, why he looks out for her – even the strawberry blonde hair. His “aunt” may be her mother, she had spunk.

Victoria can’t be gone, she’s essential.

Poor Jack, I think “faux Amanda” is pregnant with someone else’s baby.

Oh my gosh! I totally agree! Nolan and Emily look a lot alike, and Amanda is a BIG trader to Emily, definitely someone else’s baby. Although I think Victoria is Emily’s mother. That was the last thing they showed after showing Emily looking at the screen.

Victoria, of course, will be back.
Daniel turned out to be the jerk everyone thought at the beginning of the show.
Could Emily(Amanda)’s mother be the aunt Nolan suddenly had? Maybe Real Amanda and Nolan are related..cousins maybe?
I thought pregnant Amanda was eliminated earlier in the season, when the Japanese man whisked her off the beach, and later told Real Amanda “I took care of her”
I can’t wait for the next season!

All I know is that song at the end of the episode was perfect for all this twists and turns. Also – I’m thinking the plane passengers all survived as Victoria isn’t stupid and probably took her ex husbands threats to heart.

Victoria is not dead, she’s top billing on the show. Conrad gave it away boarding that plane would be the last thing shed do.
Charolette is not dead, they need her for Emily’s sister.
I don’t like the baby bump but I doubt its Jacks.
They sure left us fans with wanting another season of this show. Enough twists to keep you interested, not so many you loose interest. Well done can’t wait for fall.

GREAT FINALE!!!!
they did not disappoint!
!> if the above is true, that the show is moving to Sunday night, BAD move! that would be a huge mistake!

2. I just new “Amanda” had been taken care of by Emily’s mentor! Damn, the whore is still alive.

3. I also agree with the above, focus season 2 on finding her mom, and end with the discovery, brilliant idea!

4. Never liked Daniel, Ashley can have him!

5. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! Nolan. Emily and him could hook up! :) seriousaly, he’s an awesome friend!
If Jack chooses the whore, then she can have Nolan, endless possibilities!

6. We know Victoria did’nt die

7. Love Conrad!

8. Didn’t like Declan’s character in Gossip Girl, don’t like him here either.

9; I do like Yonkers tho, she can/will whip rich girls ass!

10. Can’t wait for Season 2, it’s gonna be a looong summer!

Thank you Mr. Kelley and crew for a great show!

The end when Emily learned that her mother was still alive, she said “on the plane,” She said it so fast and soft that it was hardly audible and then it was over. Seemed like a cheap after thought.

OMG, Victoria dead!! I hope not the show will die. What a tramp Ashley is you know they will end up sleeping together. Charolette will survive but Emily will never be happy, because she loves Jack .Can not wait to see who will play her mother in the next season, I am wondering if she will end up with Daniel just to spite Victoria. Daniel’s character will follow his fathers on the show he will marry Emily and sleep around with the tramp Ashley. I hope I get to see Revenge at its new time 8:00Pm on Sunday during the Foot Ball season. Not the best choice the station has made, this is not a kids show and every new series usually dies when it hits Sunday evenings during that time spot.

Loved this finale!!!

Faux Amanda is really pregnant but still, Jack and Emily will find a way to be together.
Charlotte survives. Her suicide is just a good reason to have Declan overcome his anger (as he will feel sorry for her) and come back to her
Victoria is certainly not dead, she looked like she was hesitating before getting on the plane, she got off before take off or took another plane.
Daniel and Ashley hook up
I think that Conrad is not responsible for the bombing of the plane Voctoria is supposed to be flying. The white hair guy did it on his own initiative or following the orders of others, Amanda’s mother maybe? The white hair man did say that David Clarke was not actually the one supposed to take the fall.

What I see coming:
1. Daniel and Ashley hook up (no surprise here)
2. There’s no way Victoria is dead – this is a no brainer –
the series is nothing without her
3. Faux Amanda isn’t pregnant. Just a ploy to keep Jack.
(and btw, WHERE has she been all this time and what
happened with her?)
4. Charlotte is gone – doesn’t make it through the pill overdose
5. We get to look forward a whole story about Emily and her
mother – yes!
6. Damn! are they even going to bring her father back from the
dead ?!? Just kidding.

What do you think? What do you predict?

I am so excited for season 2! I know exactly what’s gonna happen, well duh Victoria’s not dead! (neither is Lydia) but Contads case is going to be the mainframe of the season, and I think that Jack and Amanda will have the baby, Declan and Charlotte will make up because I don’t think Charlottes dead either, and Emily will search for her mom the rear of the season and then on the season finale she will find out who it is. But that just my idea. :)

What a mind-blowing finale! Conrad tried to warn Victoria “if you get on that plane its the last thing youll do”, but she didn’t listen and now she’s presumably dead.

I’m heartbroken for Emily over Jack, I thought that tramp was dealt with. But boy can she kick some butt when needed!

Season 2 seems so far away now….my addiction is already causing pangs of withdrawal.
