Jim Parsons Gay

Jim Parsons uses a ‘New York Times’ profile to publicly admit he’s gay. Are you surprised by the revelation?

In a profile on the award-winning actor in the New York Times, Jim Parsons reveals that he is gay and in a 10-year relationship.

The 39-year-old funny man, who has starred as uber-nerd Sheldon Cooper on the hit CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory for the past five seasons, discussed his work on Broadway in last year’s The Normal Heart, playing a young gay activist.

The Times’ Patrick Healy writes, “The Normal Heart resonated with him on a few levels: Mr. Parsons is gay and in a 10-year relationship…”

We applaud Jim’s decision to be open with his fans.

But how about you? Are you surprised by Jim’s coming out?

I’m indifferent. It is good that they are now able to be honest and still get work, but it’s no one else’s business. When coming out first began, it was necessary, but that was then. It is a non-event in the current social climate.

I was more surprised when he said that he never saw Star Trek until he did The Big Bang Theory.

I don’t care if Jim is gay or straight, as long as he keeps me entertained.

Why the hell is there so much of “Bible Talk” here ! Stop linking it to the Bible ! It’s just a little piece of information ! Where do you all get so much time to over-analyse such little things ! And btw, I’m not at all surprised to read this ! I knew this already in my subconscious the first time I saw him on TV. And what’s with the weird question ? Do you “applaud” him for coming out ? What’s there to applaud in it ? It’s just sexual orientation ! What’s the big deal in it ? Gimme a break !

We all love Jim any way he wants to live his life. Hope others will not have to suffer as he probably did
