Pia Toscano: I Want To See Jessica Sanchez Win 'Idol

Pia Toscano told HollywoodLife.com why she’s pulling for 16-year-old Jessica Sanchez to beat Phillip Phillips on ‘American Idol’ tomorrow night!

Girls have to stick together — especially on American Idol. Not since Jordin Sparks took the title in season six has a female singer won the competition, which is why former contestant Pia Toscano is pulling for Jessica Sanchez to win season 11.

“I want a girl to win!” Pia, 23, told HollywoodLife.com exclusively at the Race To Erase MS event at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Century City, Calif. “A girl hasn’t won in forever! I have been a fan of hers since I first saw her on America’s Got Talent.”

However, Pia isn’t just pulling for Jessica, 16, to win because she’s a chick. She loves her other qualities too.

“I think Jessica has a great chance because she is very relatable and so ahead of her years; I try to watch her and learn somethings from her,” she explained. “She has the whole thing down — from the fashion to the performance to everything, I think she is a very good role model.”

Jessica should of won, shes only 16 with this big voice, o my gosh at hte finale when she sang that song from dream girlz, i was moved, shes a kid, a year olderv than my kid singn this big song, it was to die for, nah she should of won

i prefer jessica’s “urban” music, as they called it. i thought she was very very boring and too safe last night. for me, phillip out-performed her and had more catchy music. that said, maybe she knew what she was going being all pop-y? i was bored, preferred phillip, but will buy her music, not his… so… i was very disappointed in her bland performances tho, as much as i love her.

What difference does her nationality make? So all filipinos should vote for her because she’s a filipino? What a great place the Philipines is…corruption, mail order brides, haha

we voted jessica not just because of her being a filipino obviuosly shes the best and more talented than philip thats why she deserves to win but unfortunately philip has..philips has a limited vocal range …but the real fact here why p[hilip win because thats what more of americans wants him to win.
