Pop sensation, Carly Rae Jepsen, proved she’s going to be a huge international star in her first American awards show appearance. Weren’t you impressed too?

Carly Rae Jepsen, you sounded and looked great performing your huge hit, “Call Me Maybe,” on last night’s , May 20th, Billboard Awards show.

If you had a case of nerves at all before performing, it didn’t show for a minute as you bopped around energetically on stage.

You hit every note, had a bright, charismatic presence and drew in the entire live audience in the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and the audience of millions watching on TV at home.

Not bad for a girl from the small city of Mission, British Columbia who placed third in the fifth season of Canadian Idol in 2007.

It was only on Feb. 14 of this year that fellow Canadian Justin Bieber announced on Canada’s Much Music program, New Music Live that Jepsen was signed to his manager Scooter Braun‘s music label, Schoolboy Records.

Well Scooter, you are certainly having terrific luck with Canadians! You’ve picked a big winner with 26-year-old Carly Rae. Can’t wait to see her perform again and look forward to hearing more of her music!
