Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. had the sad task of telling his children that their mother Mary Kennedy killed herself, and now we know how he handled the grief.
Robert, 58, was beyond heartbroken when he had to confront his kids — Conor, Kyra, William and Aiden — about the May 16 suicide, the New York Daily News reports.
“He looked like he was pretty much in shock,” family friend Peter Michaelis tells the paper. “He had just an absolutely shocked and stunned look. He could not believe it.”

From what I have read he was leaving her destitute when NY divorce law says the standard of living and ability to earn should be considered. Also read he was friendly with the judge so she was getting the shaft.
