Phillip Phillips American Idol Top 2

After months of a 24/7 planned schedule on ‘American Idol,’ the final two contestants are ready to be done…for now.

Phillip Phillips has had quite the eventful year so far. After being chosen for American Idol, he began to have problems with his kidneys and even had to have an operation while he was competing on the hit reality show. Now he’s made it to the final two and he’s ready for the process to be done!

“We’re all so numb because there’s nothing we can really feel because it’s almost over,” the 21-year-old blues singer told reporters after performances May 16. “We prayed before we got on stage and were talking about how much fun we want to have because we’re not in competition and everybody’s so different.”

Luckily for Phillip, he made it to the final two, along with 16-year-old Jessica Sanchez. Even though he’s numb, he’ll have one more week to prove himself to America.
