A new documentary from TLC will document the perils of morbidly overweight mamas-to-be. Um, are you raising your eyebrows too?
TLC’s new reality show Obese & Expecting charts the emotional and physical struggles of four obese women who are trying to deliver. Will you watch the show?
The channel has made itself known for chronicling American families with shows that border on exploitative — there’s Sister Wives, Toddlers & Tiaras, 19 Kids and Counting, and a whole litany of other series that are totally interesting but definitely raise some questions of tact.
Are they just recycling the shock-value formula for ratings?
The hour-long Obese & Expecting preview will air May 17 at 9 p.m. Will YOU watch it, HollyMoms?
See the clip below, where Alissa Pena and her husband, William, discuss how her obesity lead to them separating:

I have just recently heard about the show and saw a few. I have been on both sides of these. I use to be 120 and now I am 300. Now for the ones on here being rud, I would not talk if you have not been in that situation and it is alot of factors that goes into people being overweight. Now be careful because what you say ” THAT COULD NOT BE ME, OR THAT WILL NEVER BE ME” in a blink of an eye it will be you.
