One Direction’s Manager Simon Cowell Tells Them To Stop Drinking

After one too many nights of wild partying, British boy band One Direction is getting a time out!

“Simon’s a control freak with One Direction,” an insider told Star. “He’s come down hard on them for spending too much time chasing girls, drinking booze and acting like clowns in night clubs.”

Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson were recently spotted drinking alcohol during a promotional trip, and The X Factor judge wasn’t too pleased.

“Simon told them that to stay on top, they needed to put their noses to the grindstone and quite drinking,” the insider revealed. “Simon’s a master image-maker, and he doesn’t want these guys to self-destruct. He wants to keep One Direction squeaky clean.”

I voted yes because I love Harry styles in the others but I really want Harry in zayn not to drink or smoke because there to pretty for that

This isn’t true…Zayn, Louis and Liam all have girl friends. And they’re not the type to partake in heavy drinking. I’m sure they have a drink every now and then and know how to have fun- but it isn’t like its illegal form them in the US. They act their age- actually a little mature for their age.

I say they are old enough to drink. I think Simon does not always have control over them. Everyone that thinks they are old enough to drink is right and who isn’t. Like I have a friend who is under age and drinks wine with aunt. I am leaving the boys alone about this and I will not give them heck about this. I am a fan of one direction and my friend is a huge fan so I am leaving them alone.

Okay, seriously, Simon has made a lot of good decisions for the boys and about them and all but this time Simon is in the wrong… The lads are old enough to drink in the U.K. so why not let them? And Louis is about to be old enough to drink in the U.S… My parents have flat out said to me and my brothers that they believe that if you’re old enough to serve your country (18 in the U.S.) you should be allowed to drink in PRIVATE… Ok, so my opinion on this, in the U.K. let the boys go out clubbing and partying… In the U.S. let them drink in PRIVATE like in their hotel room or something… It’s not that big of a deal as long as it doesn’t affect their performances, and besides, sometimes you just gotta let out some stress one way or another, especially if you’re famous.

Ok, I’m a HUGE Directioner… My friends say I’m extremely dedicated and my parents say I’m “obsessed” but I’m putting my foot down with this. If the boys want to drink in public and party where they’re old enough to legally, LET THEM! If they want to drink in private where by law they’re technically under-aged (like in the U.S.), let them every now and then!!

No TRUE Directioner would hold the boys against them for drinking and partying… Just like no TRUE Directioner would ever hold it against Zayn for smoking…

if you drink alcohol and smoking it might affect their voice,,,and and also their looks becomes affected too.if they love their carrer,,,they must p;rotect themselves especially their health.

popularity is only temporary not permanent,,,if they waste their time in drinking,,partying,,,,someday nothing left for them,,,,,the best thing to do is save their money so that someday they still have money.

As long as they are old enough, I don’t see the problem with it. Whenever they are in England, then they should be able to have fun and party, but not in America where they are too young.

maybe today they are popular,,,,what about tomorrow and in the other year?there are lots of talents in x factor,,which they going to discover in the near future,,,,,so one direction must be aware and careful for what they do.

Y’all commenting must be like 13 or something. I don’t think they should stop drinking just ’cause y’all say to. They wanna drink, let ‘em drink. They’re regular boys, let them cut loose for a night. I hate that management is so commanding and demanding of the boys now-a-days. I understand that Simon wants to keep their rep. “squeaky clean”, but I think we know a lot of good dirt on the boys already, so why bother? And besides, making them hide who they really are is total bull. I guess I’m happy that all these constrictions have brought them all their success, but again, they’re just regular boys. LET THEM BE!
