Bill & Giuliana Rancic Baby Plans -- Second Child 'In The Works'

The papa-and-mama-to-be can’t wait to expand the family even more! Read on for all the details!

Although Bill and Giuliana Rancic are still hush on the sex of their first baby, they’ve announced that they are definitely planning to have a second!

“We already have the plans in the works,” said Bill, 41, to Life & Style Weekly. “The wheels are in motion.”

The reality couple are having their first child via surrogate. “Everything is looking great, and we’re thrilled,” said Giuliana, 36, to the magazine. “It couldn’t be better, so knock on wood it’s all looking good!”

We’ve witnessed Giuliana and Bill’s emotional struggles on the screen, but they are staying optimistic and embracing all the challenges of having a family: “My wife and I declared 2012 the Year of the Rancics,” he said.

How many kids are they thinking? “Two or three would be a great number,” joked Bill. “She’d want four or five. But that’s not gonna happen — not with me. Maybe her next husband!”

With all the difficulties they’ve experienced, wouldn’t it be easier to simply adopt? They want a child so bad and their are children that needed parents or they could adopt a baby from birth. It seems selfish.

I advocate adoption, but while it’s a great option for some families, it is not a “simple” process by any means (and can be more complicated and expensive than fertility treatment, by the way). And birth mothers can change their minds before the adoption is finalized, an emotional toll that could be too much for couples who have already faced numerous set backs. Regardless, just because a couple faces fertility challenges does not mean they don’t deserve to enjoy every step of parenthood they can. If infertile couples should adopt, then every other couple out there should adopt as well. But it’s not for anyone to judge.
There is also the matter of frozen embryos. I think that if a couple has left over embryos from a fertility cycle, they might not want to discard them, so they try again and possibly have another baby. Best wishes to everyone dreaming of growing their families, how ever they decide to do it.
